I do a lot of drugs, fap lot to porn, and waste a lot of time on the chan

So I'm stopping all sorts of stimulation. I'm just gonna sleep, meditate, eat, and work. It's basically taking from the noporn philosophy.

Meditate, work, or nothing.

Are there any negative effects that can come from this?

you might aquire a gf that ends up being a serious gains goblet.

other than that nah.
>>
A lot of ex-[supposed vice here] end up being real annoying sanctimonious assholes.

Those who pitch a huge fucking baby fit about others smoking are invariably ex-smokers. A lot of the morons who push "no fap" so hard here used to fap like 7 times a day.

So, there's a very real risk of turning into an unbearable shithead nobody wants to be around.

so you went full retard and grilled your brain with garbage stimulus
now you try to shoot into the other extreme and torture your brain with deprivation

you are like a fatass who decides that eating nothing at all is a good idea
it's not

balance is key you stupid mongoloid

>>
>>41751439
was thinking of doing the same thing
you do realise music, social interaction and eating is also stimulation though?
so you would have to go monk mode with no nice foods, social interaction or music

to remove the cares of the body and let the mind roam unhindered:

>eat whole grains, legumes, fruits, vegetables, and other good things
>exercise and do yoga as much as possible
>ignore all poisons and manmade things as much as possible
>ignore all words and ideologies unless the person is meaningful in your life
>do the best effort in everything
>church, psychedelics, and lucid dreaming help, but ideally are more enjoyable than necessary
>>
I cut out all caffeine and it has helped me control my sleep schedule

I used to have to sleep in later each day because I got to bed later, but now I go to bed or sleep consistently around 3 or 4am
>>
>>41751960
>>ignore all words

that's easy
>>
>>41751485
That's unfortunately true, and is why I try to balance the equation by promoting heroin addiction having shot it for what's nearly a decade.
>>
>>41751439
Theres nothing wrong with being stimulated and no need to nuke all stimuli and live in some kind of penance. but you should pick stimuli that are beneficial when possible.

Lifting is a good stimulus for instance.
>>
>>41751485
Fucking this. Can't stand people who look down on those who obnoxiously obsess over [insert drug] culture, yet won't stfu about how long they've been sober for.

Just learn some self-control, OP.
>>
>>41751439
The fact that you made this post lets me know you're not going to make it.

Degenerate.

You may realize you don't actually need any of the things you stopped doing&taking, which is horrible
>>
>>41751510
This
OP just cut off one branch at a time

if you really want this go for it, but as other anons have said going to the extreme especially in a sudden manner usually doesnt end up well..

ive heard of people who run alcoholics anonymous classes and such going out and taking people in their class to a bar to have a drink, some would be surprised by this but the teacher is there to try and show them moderation.
if you cant have a drink, or smoke in moderation or even be around it without flying off the handle then you were never really free from your addiction

just saying taking things in stride will probably work out much better than trying to go full monk mode, you will most likely break yourself doing that. maybe thats what you want but letting you know it may put you in a hole deeper than you were before

>Are there any negative effects that can come from this?
Yes definitely. You can pickup many bad habits by making a large set of changes so rapidly. You shoulder either do 1 of the 3 following.
>Set a realistic goal in mind for deprivation. Maybe 3 days. Maybe a weekend etc.
>Trade off bad habits for good ones 1 by 1 till eventually you have nothing worth depriving yourself from.
>Exercise 15-45 minutes of deprivation/meditation on a regular basis.

This, my pops used to smoke and said he went cold turkey to quit.

I tried the same with coffee, sugar and cigarettes.

I was angry all the time and even went ballistic over my brother whom i still live with. I also gained a lot of wait back too

Take it slow and easy
>>
>>41751439
>Are there any negative effects that can come from this?
productivity. horrible, horrible productivity.
you may want to limit yourself to certain times. A most successful authors set aside 2 hours a day in which he didn't allow himself anything but writing. He didn't set a goal of how much he'd have to write, but it was the only activity he allowed himself in that period.
>>
>>41751485

>you used to jerk it 7 times a day and now you don't?
>OMG. I mean, how fucking obnoxious can you get?

Tits or gtfo. I refuse to believe a man wrote this.
>>
>>41751485
Have a (You) you slut.
>>
>>41751439
you will relapse on the 2nd day, maybe before the 1st ends
>>
find a real reason for quitting, otherwise you'll fail.

for example, my dad called me a failure not long ago, so i'm going to prove him the fuck wrong. 7 days clean
