It depends on your technique. You need to "drop your dick" for glute-activation during squat. You also can see a lot of people have shit form on deadlifts.

You can also consider some accessories

These are the best iso for glute gains

If you're a girl, I also suggst calf raises and reverse lunges or split squats, to give the quad some attention so you don't look weird.

Then do some bench, ohp, and lat pulldowns a couple times a week. I'm not a girl, tho.

Yes, assuming proper form and lifting heavy, albeit there are better lifts out there, as others have commented.
Squat ATG for better glute activation.

Weighted hip thrusts by and far #1.
Weighted glute bridges are hip thrusts off the floor - great, but not the same RoM.
Hip abductions are decent as a small supplement to hip thrusts and ATG squats to help round out the upper butt.
