Been doing the reddit PPL for a month but I've seen basically no progress on my bench and overhead press, should i just switch to SS. What weights do I start with and what can i do instead of powerclean

Provided you know how to do the movements, start with whatever weight just barely slows the bar down from its speed on the empty bar set you start with to warm up.

Speed deadlifts (pull a deadlift to lockout as fast as you can) are the best power clean substitute. Be sure to have your back all set and braced before you start an explosive pull like that, though.

I'd probably start speed deadlifts with 50% of your 1x5 Regular Deadlift weight and do either 3x5 or 5x3 on them.

Also, don't forget to eat more. It's never enough.

that is why you've gone nowhere. way too little work down over the course of many days.

do SS+accessories. if natty, always do full body routine. you won't see results any other way. you have to hit pretty much everything every other day to get strong. waiting two or three days to do arms or chest or legs again is a no no, too long of a wait.
