No.
>>
>>41720856
>>41720856
I feel like if I could get a good full body hold on its neck I could snap it

I'm gonna say Yes
>>
Just look at the claws on its feet... wow, these things will tear you to shreds. You DO NOT wanna mess with this guy
>>
>>41720856
If I can get past legs, then yes. But it would probably kick me and kill me before I could get to the neck.
>>
>>41720856
if i had a wooden baseball bat, i feel like i could do some serious damage. definitely take out an emu no problem.

I've stood in front of an ostrich once, it's claws were twice as big as my hands, its beak was like a knife and it towered over me.
But the part that really got to me was the gentle hissing that it made.
That was the day I learned that crocodiles could enter the water without making a single ripple.

If you didn't know any better you could pass these off as dinosaur feet.
>>
>>41720856

Of course anon. You should try.

Set a camera up on a tripod and fight it, Rocky style. Ostrich would go down super easy, 10 seconds tops
>>
>>41721522
If I hit an emu with a truck I could easily kill it.
>>
>>41720856
I'm pretty sure they can kick a hole in your chest.

Yeah, humans are highly intelligent great apes that utilize tools to accomplish tasks.
>>
Lmao look at that twig neck. I can kill that faggot emu in 3 seconds.
>>
>>41723465
Itd kick you if you got close, also being at 9 feet its reach is probably outstanding
>>
>>41721103
i bet its neck is incredibly strong. not sure you could snap it. unless of course you IF
>>
>>41720856
no, the entire australian army lost against them
>>
Emus won over the British Army once, a single human has no chance.
>>
>>41720856
With weapons maybe

Unarmed, no chance.
>>
>>41720856
Aus fag here, Emus and Ostriches would fucking wreck a normal person with no weapon. And even then, you're going to severely struggle with any form of melee weapon because of its long neck and feet that both lead to potentially fatal damage. And these cunts are absolutely ruthless, you're down? they'll stomp your fucking head in.

Take >>41723294 advice, only thing taking these fuckers down is a truck or gun, because fuck me you're going to do nothing to it otherwise.
>>
>>41726391
Yeah, I'm sure you know all about taking down emus with guns. Wait, no you don't, you lost that war.
>>
>>41726460
We learned from that mistake.
Now we use melee weapons
>>
>>41726460
True, i'm just saying if you want to kill one emu, a gun is necessary. something with range and piercing ability. But yeah, can't say i'd be a good shot, let alone even a fight for an emu.
>>
Have you ever stood next to an ostrichh? If you jumped it and got a hold of it's neck, maybe. Straight up 1v1? No chance.
>>
>>41720856
it can kill a fully grown male lion with a single kick.
>>
>>41720856
I suspect a fit guy who kill one pretty easily by going for the neck, although that being said when they attack they throw their heads back and send their feet forward so it would be extremely difficult.

But the problem is even one good swipe could disembowel you. So without weapons I think it would be a draw.
>>
>>41726460
We didnt lose, we just decided it wasn't worth fighting anymore

Just like Vietnam and Korea
>>
I think very un/fit/man could defeat ostrich easily by pulling a gun on him
>>
I'd aggro the shit out of this bird and just kite him after that. Keep him chasing after me but always staying out of his range. Eventually he'd tire and, combined with the rocks I'd been pelting him with, would collapse under the stress of sustained running. At that point I'd probably just get a larger rock and drop it on his head point blank.

This would take a few hours but would be effective. I think early humans did something like this (with prey, not predators/belligerents) before they learned how to spear shit and use hunting tools.
>>
>>41728000
Go look up a video of an ostrich running right now.
>>
>>41728000
Nigga they run 40mph..
>>
Not likely
>>
>>41720856
Their talons pierce through your muscles like it was nothing, and they kick like a fucking champion. Hell, they can even outrun you even if you were riding a bicycle, which is very impressive.

Just leave them be, or die like a dingus.

Does the ostrich know it's on before it's on? If so, then no. Otherwise, there's a small chance of snapping its neck by fighting dirty.
>>
100% I would fuck up a ostrich. No joke, I believe I could.
