I like Optimum because of the quality and the flavor, which is good without being too sickly sweet.

I wanted to like MyProtein so bad (their quality is even higher than Optimum) but all their flavors fucking reek of sugar alcohol. Practically turns my stomach.

Using allmax, taste decent, and amino profile on label... so no spiking.

Optimum used to be the SHIT, but their amino profile is hidden in a proprietary blend. High in cholesterol so it's low in quality proteins.

If I am a shitty eater (hard for me to get past 2500 in a day), is there any disadvantage towards using a mass gainer? I don't really care about the money, or taste, but is there any different reason not to?

And if so, is there any reason to use Serious Mass vs Pro Gainer? I usually use ON supplements

Generic unflavored from the bulk foods section at Winco, $6/lb. I can buy as little or as much as I want.

It's cheap, whey is whey no matter where you get it, and it doesn't have shitty artificial flavorings to make me gag and shitty artificial sweeteners to give me cancer or other health problems.
It also doesn't have a shitty container that I pay too much for. I put it in a nice free plastic bag until I get home, then it goes in a resealable glass container.
I can put this stuff in anything I want and it won't spoil the flavor. Or just plain with water is fine too.
You guys really need to get off this 'flavored' kick, flavored whey is a meme and it needs to stop.

I have both the BSN Syntha 6 edge and the ON gold standard whey

Syntha 6 edge mixes a lot easier and has a richer taste, beats milkshakes really.

ON tastes great too compared to some budget stuff I have tried, but tends to have a lot of powder cluttered on the bottom.

I use a milkshake shaker to do my shakes

Myprotein unflavoured is just 30 euros per kilo.

The point is that they save you time instead of waste your time. Instead of spending more time prepping more chicken and then eating it, you can just quickly down some protein and move on. Obviously actual food is preferable and more cost-efficient, but a lot of protein powders have a decent price/protein for how convenient they are.
