Sugar, not fat, is your enemy (lots of reasons, watch Fed Up on Netflix).
Avoid it like hell for a few months to reset your metabolism and hunger levels.
Also, never assume what has sugar, you'll be amazed if you actually start reading labels.
Use spices and flavorful foods to reduce cravings.
You should be doing basic exercise (weights or cardio, doesn't really matter much) along with this.
