It depends on a number of factors
>shape and size of your jaw
>overall facial features
>your body frame and fitness levels
>your hair texture and color
>the health of your hair
>your hairline
>ability to grow facial hair
>skin tone relative to hair color

It can be pulled off by more people than you think, but it takes some planning and reflection to make the call. If you've got a narrow jaw and shoulders, pin-straight lighter hair and are paler than the moon, you should probably not go with long hair. Hemsworth has some leeway because when he's doing Thor he's pretty built, has a square jaw and his hair is a darker blonde. Brad Pitt could also pull it off when he was playing Achilles because he too was more built then and of course he's got the jaw and face, but now he's lost his size and the longer hair works a little less for him.

If you're going to do it though, you gotta make sure you're not a total sperg because long hair is a social magnifier. If you avoid talking to people because you're thinking about your waifu pillow waiting for you when you get home, you'll just look like a weird unkempt faggot

Just like with anything else cool such as leather jackets, muscle cars, cowboy boots, motorcycles, being in a band etc if you have to ask permission/advice on weather its cool no you cannot pull it off sorry.
