How long should cut/bulk cycles be? Bulking was easy because it was just gaining strength/mass + eating a lot, but how do I preserve my bulk gains while cutting? Do I eat more protein and do strength range reps or should I train for hypertrophy?
Pic unrelated, but I don't want to cut inefficiently and look like this

From 3 to 9 weeks both bulk and cut cycles, from novice to advanced this is ok, might not be optimal for a pro athlete. Cycle macro proportions to see what works best for you, this also apply to meal timing/frequency. The upper end threshold for fat % is 20-17%, the lower being 15-10% depending on your fat distribution, height, "frame", muscle mass and objectives. Whole foods works best, understanding what to include in your diet is important, basically smart choices about caloric density, nutrient density, satiety level and composition.

i lost 75 lbs pretty fast. i started lifting heavyweights to gain some mass to fill in the loose skin. it didnt turn out that bad
>cut
as short as possible, PSMF or just straight up fasting is ideal.
>bulk
as long as possible.
Bulk as far as you are comfortable.
If you start hating yourself then you're stupid for pushing it too far.
