Should I pay someone to train me or is that a beta fag move
>>
youre supposed to pay someone to lift the weights for you so you can suck their gains out later
>>
nope, most trainers are faggots. they'll keep you doing useless routines and exercises, and when you dont see results you'll keep coming back to your trainer and they'll make you do some different bullshit exercises and routines. it's a revolving door of fuckery.
>>
Make sure you get a female pt so that instead of looking like a faggot you just look like an incel instead, and no, she won't even say hello to you outside of the pt sessions, why did you even think to ask me that?
>>

If you're gonna do it, you need to find one that looks like they actually lift seriously and not one of these skinny faggot PT you see around. Then let them know you're serious about progressing and having your diet right and prove it to them so they don't think you're just another half hearted faggot and will actually put effort into you.

Or just do it yourself.

Don't do it. Everyone I know who has, takes the PT's word as gospel and never learns more lifts. They just do the same stupid split forever, and past newb gains and weight loss, never progress. You are much better off studying, watching YouTube and learning through trial and error.

This one PT at my gym came up to me and told me about a stretch he recommends doing, then we chatted for a bit and he helped me overcome some pain I had with a band. He told me he'd give me a free session so I'm gonna do that Thursday now.. kinda feel bad cause I know the guy is gonna ask me if I wanna keep seeing him for help but I don't need a PT's help at this point nor do I want to pay out my ass for one.

I'm sure a lot of them are good ones but there are just as many shit ones who recommend meme routines.

A trainer is PROBABLY going to be a useless fag. A "Starting Strength Coach," if one happens to be nearby and you don't care about the money, is a great way to get started with the important lifts and Babby's First Programming, however.

you want a glorified timer and rep counter? "Good job timmy, (hey manlet who pays me) just two more reps~ (I have twenty other fat fucks hurrytfup)."
>>
desu dude just look up a routine and follow it, if you dont know the exercise just youtube it. you can literally find your way using the internet no need to pay some one whos just going to copy and paste it for you.

Speaking as a personal trainer, no.
A PT exists only for people who are completely clueless or lack basic motivation, because of this the majority of clients are women or older people.
Their motivation is to get repeat custom, a minority of PT/client relations will revolve around modifying programs as you progress in order to make you want to come back, the majority is going through the motions knowing they will give up in a few months when they realise they can't stick to nutritional guidance/cico/spending time away from the tv to go to the gym.
In the first case, after a while you're mostly just paying someone to spot you as you should have learnt something by then.
Unless you tell keep reassuring a PT that you really want to be pushed to your limits, expect half assed workouts designed to avoid potential injury, or DOMS which would scare normies out of the gym.
All PTs are primarily motivated by money, your health is secondary even for those that genuinely give a shit. Pay attention to your gym location, a gym with a more competitive PT system (open door policy, take the floor subs and just let any PT set up shop) will mean your PT will be more unscrupulous about trying to get your money in their pocket.
If you are obese, the help you need is beyond a standard PT, you're in a specialist risk group, and PTs can't give you the specific dietary and lifestyle advice you need, only advise that relates to people with normal health.
And 90% of weight loss and gainz is nutrition, and a PT can legally only provide so much nutritional advice.

WIthout knowing individual circumstances, I can't fully say you'd benefit from hiring a PT, but honestly, save your money, read the sticky.

just become friends with the guy who uses steroids they will give good advice and will spot you 24/7 and you might get a free sample
>>
Do you really think you're so special you need a programmed tailored to you?
>>
A someone who was a personal trainer for some time, I'll tell you first hand. No. Don't get one. Anything a good PT can tell you is on the Internet. Research and cross reference. Most PT's are shit, the good ones are only slightly better than shit.
