This round. I did a mock interview with the medical college of georgia's actual board and they said as long as my MCAT was ok I would be a perfect fit so I'm pretty hopeful. Since then I ended getting their average MCAT score of 509 now I'm just debating if I should take it again or apply asap. I could most likely get a 512 but I would be applying a month later.

>>
>>41633041
It is a 509 as well. But with a 512 I could apply to other out of state schools.

But what I don't know is does it actually matter which medical school you go to in terms of the quality of your matching or is that all determined by your board scores?

If it's mostly board scores then wouldn't I be better off going with the cheaper but still decent state medical school?

>>
>>41633076
When matching your education only matters if you:

A) went to a top ten ranked medical university (helps)
B) are a DO (hurts for very highly competitive programs)
C) went to a foreign medical school apart from Canada (hurts a lot)

With that being said, not all MD schools are the same and some will prepare you better for your Step 1; the ultimate determinant for which specialty of medicine you will practice. I would personally recommend prioritizing quality over cost though.

"vanilla" stuff?

I've always been intrigued by fetish modelling. Not personally, but for example you have people like Bianca Beauchamp, who is hot and just happened to be kinky and have a photographer boyfriend. And she ended up being there at the right time and becoming probably the biggest name in fetish since Bettie Page or Dita von Teese.

And then you get people like lady tasha/fetish queen heike/lady anja, who aren't even that attractive, but who probably rake it in each month just from a few hundred subscribers consistently paying like £15 a month or whatever it is.

Seems like if you're a qt grill you could just invest in fetish gear and walk about being photographed by your boyfriend and end up making good money. They don't even do any nudity apart from the occasional nipple.

Now first you say they have inferior genes implying it has something to do with their depression and then you go on to say it isn't real. Depression is very real my guy. I have a billionaire friend (10/10 face, frame, 6'2 the works) who has it, his grandfather committed suicide because of it, his father struggled with it, and his brother committed suicide too thanks to it. Real shit and you can shrug it off but let's be factual at the very least.

Low level federal bureaucrat in Canada. I'm the last line of defence between people attempting to defraud the government and a few pots of money intended to be paid out to people for various programs.
The job isn't too tough and the pay is good in a bad job market.
>>
>>41634663
That's a bit simplistic. Depression is over diagnosed and WAY over SELF-diagnosed, but to say it doesn't exist is a bit ridiculous. It's the same as "anxiety", in that it's basically people who never learned to deal with basic life issues who believe they have these "mental illnesses". People who haven't learned to accept or deal with failure, people with no contingency plans, people who are inflexible because they were told they could do whatever they wanted, people with no ambition or no capacity to plan or manage their lives, these are the people who, in the past, would blame the government, or their boss, or "the man", or bad luck, and now they blame mental illness.
It isn't to say there aren't truly depressed people, or people with true capital A-Anxiety, but they're very rare. Mental illness awareness campaigns really bother me because they focus on depression and anxiety, which are the hallmark red herrings of mental illness, while the people who really need awareness campaigns, and to be more carefully integrated into society are people with bipolar, schizophrenia, etc.

I really fucking hate it, but now i have already studied for three years and the next one will be my last, so no point in quitting now. Seriously considering taking up either IT or law, as they both atleast SEEM to suit me more.
The only thing that seems to keep me in track is the gym - everytime i go, i leave all the negative emotions and shit behind the gym doors and when i finish with my workout, everything that i was burdened with seems to have vanished. Dont know if this stupid shit makes any sense, but atleast i know that the gym really keeps me in check.

If I could do it all over again I would've become a dentist; you're doing very technical procedures and make money straight out of dentistry school, which is 6 years. Med school + extracurricular activities + work experience + PhD is what it took to get me into a residency, and what it takes most people to get into residency in my country. It totals ~14 years, I'm 34 now and only just beginning to make money as a surgeon opposed to making money fresh out of dentistry school at 24. I do get to do awesome stuff though and there's a lot more status involved.

Oh yeah by the way fuck people who think burn-out is anything more than a fad disease. Get your shit together. I know 0 surgeons that are "burnt-out" because they all love their job. Just pick a profession that makes you get out of bed every day with a smile.

Right now I just have a paid internship with a wildlife and forestry preservation company. Other than that I'm a full time student

But isn't the pay decent? I'm trying to get an IT degree. I have no real interest in it but if I have enough money to pursue my (inexpensive) hobbies I'll be happy
