Help, Somebody just told me ass to grass squats were bad for my legs!
Is it true fit, did you meme me? Should I only be doing 90?

no, i do atg and im p strong and aesthetic
>>41630844
It's fine either way just do what you prefer brah
>>41630844
I'm pretty sure as long as you hit or break parallel it's good. it's less than parallel that's bad for your knees.
>>41630844
it all just depends. IMO theres really no need to go ATG ever, but it does look more impressive and incorporates your glutes a lot more. The reason I dont do ATG is because i squat low bar, so if you enjoy squatting high bar i say go for it. As far as knee pain, I doubt it.

Not all people have the flexibility to ATG and not all people can maintain a neutral spine and go ATG with heavy weight. Do what works for you. Just don't be that faggot who 1/8th reps and e-brags about how strong they are.

I fucked my knee up going too fast into the bottom so... don't do that

It's fucking crazy how I still have to go around and tell people that half squats are what fucks people's knees up. Friend of mine just thinks I'm dumb when I tell him this even though I'm living proof and I show him different studies/articles.

People need to think it through. There's something meaningfully different between actually using a joint the way it was meant to be used vs. bouncing hundreds of pounds on it like a dumbass and then wondering why it's fucked up.
Anyone got that webm of the skelly tranny quarter-squatting?
I just started doing SL and I'm fairly new to doing back squats. I've done a lot of front squatting and now that I'm doing back squats, I'm doing ATG. Is using a tempo possibly bad? I'm doing a 2-1-2 tempo. 2 seconds going down, 1 second pause at the bottom and 2 seconds up. Is that a dumb tempo? Should I use another one or just skip the tempo at all?

If you're doing high bar squats then you should always go ATG.
But if you're doing low bar squats than going 90 is enough
