Bros,

I'm a low-test skelly, been working out for about 4 months now to try to gain some weight. As you can guess, I started out quite weak, and I still am quite weak, but I've made a lot of improvement.

I'm trying to figure out how strong I am compared to the average guy. What are some average weight-lifting stats for normies? I'm not talking about casual gym-goers, I'm just talking about maybe 50th percentile for all men walking around on the street.

What about stats for chads?


Here are my current stats.. yeah they're pathetic, but my only goal right now is to be "normal".

6'3", 175lbs (up 10lbs since starting weight training)

OHP 5 rep @ 90lbs
Bench 5 rep @ 135lbs
Squat 5 rep @ 135 lbs
Deadlift 5 rep @ 200lbs
Pullup 5 rep

I try to increase weights 5lbs every week. Pray for me bros.

I'm 5'10 recovering skelly as well, started lifting same 4 months ago and everything but I made progress faster feelsgoodman.
If you've only been doing ss low rep training id say mix it up and do just as many high rep lower weight sets. It's not conventional but that's how i started out. I may have also been working out more often than you: weights 6 days a week cardio every other day and adjusted my diet as my appetite got bigger. I couldn't weigh more than 150-160 but no scale. Btfo me all u want power nerds this thread has made me feel really good about my holistic approach.
I'm doing 15 to 25 more than u in every category at same rep range. Good luck skelly bro, all this science shit is about as reliable as "coffee does/doesn't make more cancer" hope what you're doing keeps working, gl

How much structural/mobility/accessory work do you do?

Being your height and weight and without much exercise/lifting history I can only assume that your posture/core strength isn't all that great.

I do 6 day PPL and then run 5K on Sundays.

Yeah my posture is really bad but I'm doing some extra exercises & stretches to help fix that.
