Also looking for a decent shoe for all-around lifting. Raised heels are a negative for some lifts and I'm tired of seeing "just get Chucks lol"

Agreed, anon. I thought they were a meme shoe at first, but when I saw them for $30, I had to give them a shot. I'm glad I did - I love them. I then bought two extra pairs. I'm good for awhile.

What about the crossfit nano 7?

A lot of crossfit plebs were complaining how the nano 7 is too stiff compared to their older shoes and that it's shit for running, but they praise it for lifting.

The heel is flat, 4mm heel to toe drop.

I'm worried about the height for deadlifting.

not the 4mm specifically, I mean the height from your feet to the floor, this is a pure crossfit shoe so I'm wondering if it'll hinder PRs with deadlifts

Really, as a skateboarder of 11 years and lifter of four, true skate shoes are the way to go. A lot of these are designed to be flat but have superior heel protection.

And for posterity, right now my gym shoe is an Onitzuka tigre pair that i sewed a comfy mesh Busenitz tongue into, Re colored and stamped with Team Zissou insignia, and a nice Dr shools athletic insert Soles with the hardened plastic arch.

I could literally deadlift jupiter
