Your shit is likely not irreparably damaged. I had really bad shoulders due to improper form, too much weight, bad programming. I was dumb and not very knowledgeable and i did things to make it worse.
One time i was shoulder pressing dbs and lost control at the top on my right arm and the dumbbell fell forward, though I tried to control it which ended up popping my shoulder out momentarily. At that point my shoulders were already fucked from other shit.

Before any upper body workout I do two dynamic stretches to warm up my shoulders.
1) stand against wall and raise your arms from your sides to ear level 15 times
2) stand against wall, with arm at shoulder level and a 90 degree angle, and bring your 90 degree arm down like you're trying to touch your hand to the wall.
These warmups are much better than the meme of doing internal/external rotations with weights, which does nothing because no resistance, and will end up tiring your shoulders before you get started.

You should also do internal/external rotations, but with a cable, and as part of your shoulder workout rather than your warmup. These strengthen the rotator cuff muscles but in the same way your press strengthens your shoulders. They will get worn out and more prone to injury, so avoid pressing the next day after doing them, and I like to make them my very last shoulder workouts. 3 sets of each progressive overload and all.

I now bench heavy twice a week and have very little to no shoulder irritation. Absolutely no real issues like I used to have.
