I've been meaning to go for a while but haven't had the guts. It'll be hard to face up to the sins I've committed, they're not pretty.

Part of me wishes I could still believe. The other part remembers how repressed and confused I was, and how much mental gymnastics I needed to play to justify different beliefs. Theology was comfy, but I can't believe in it anymore, and I don't want to surpress my homosexual tendencies anymore.

On a somewhat unrelated note, does anyone else wish that people still worshiped Greek gods? I know it is illogical and I would probably be a slave but I wish I was born in ancient Greece everyday.

I mean it's obviously possible something else exists out there. I think it's unlikely, but it's impossible to refute the possibility. But how likely do you think it is that your denomination or even religion got it right? Why yours over the thousands of other religions?
