tell me why i cant go do cardio in the morning (ride 20km, swim 3km) come home, have a big meal, have a little sleep, and then go lift

Yeah you can do it for a few days but you have to find a sustainable routine.
Riding 20km or swimming 3km consumes energy, if you keep this for two weeks you'll just be too tired and won't even enjoy the gym or your morning rides anymore. If your body can take it good for you! I know mine would ask me to stop if I wanted to do this everyday.

This is exactly what I do on weekends

I run in the morning, come home a have a big meal then go lift a couple of hours later

It just depends on how fit you are. I can run 40-50 minutes and feel pretty good after. A few years ago I would have been completely wiped out, and unable to lift until the next day.
