What's sad to me is that body positivity at it's core is a really good thing. Being comfortable in your own skin and making peace with the things you can't change is an important element to being happy, and isn't mutually exclusive to wanting to better yourself and reach your peak.

But then you have all of these overweight, shitty, lazy people who've adopted it and use it as a reason that not only should you never improve yourself, but you should be shamed for even suggesting it.
