I saw a thread about this not too long ago but I didn't have this issue at the time...basically I'm getting a sharp pain In my shoulder when benching (pic related)...is there any way to fix it besides foam rolling

does it hurt when you raise your arm? if so check if its your rotator cuff
Probably because your form is fucked up. Good way to jack your shoulder up is to bench press without scapular retraction.

No not at all, it's more of a sharp pain that comes in waves, sometimes when I'm lifting sometimes not

I have this exact problem. PLEASE tell me how i can get it to heal.
hey I had the same thing. Only thing that helped it was taking two weeks off.

Go see a physical therapy anon, this amateur Korean BBQ board can't diagnose your shoulder pain.
I had an impinged shoulder and it took months of physical therapy to heal completely. Don't put it off or you'll hurt yourself worse.

Thats probably a good idea. Thanks anon

No, it didn't. For what it's worth, I also had a problem with that shoulder on that arm as well. That cleared up mostly and then it just the tricep pain for a little bit. I honestly think they're related but who I'll never know.
Anyway, at that point, it was almost spring break and then I just decided to take some time off. 2 weeks and haven't had pain there since. This was in march btw.

Im 18 and still under my parents really bad insurance so they wont take me to a professional. I didnt do any upper body for over a about 1.5-2 months and it didnt get any better whatsoever so I just said fuck it and started working out upper body again with perfect form and it honestly feels better than before but it hasnt gone away. What do yall think is the best option for me to do?

I guess that's what I'll do. Thanks man

I'm sorry that you can't see a physical therapist about it. The time probably helped, but if there's still pain, then you're still injured, and doing any exercises that hurt it will exacerbate the problem.
The only advice I can give you is to ice the area that hurts and don't do anything that makes it hurt, or you'll just make it worse. Good luck, anon.

Take a break from pressing movements and focus on rotator cuff exercises.
And GO SEE A DOCTOR.
