Who is /fat/ for? Fat members of /fit/ who want
>Lose weight
>Get a more /fit/ body by lifting weights
>Autistically change your diet to some ultra vegetable no sweets autism because extremism is always good am i right ;^)
Here we ask others for advice and give moral support to one another if you are too weak to survive solo. We all know losing weight when you are fat is easy if you just reduce calorie intake, literally piece of cake. At the end of the day this is a support general whose goal is to help and motivate the chubby channers who need to lose weight for a number of reason. Please be warned that there are some chronic idiots who post in this general giving horrible advice to troll or to reassure their extremist autism works for themselves, dont bother, always remember calorie intake, if it is lesser than how many calories your body burns you ll be fine.
And remember, if you are a loser when fat you ll still be a loser if you are thin, your weight isnt the problem.

>>
>>41475780
>>41475835
This is pretty neat. I may skew the unholy hell out of my numbers because of fucking around last Friday and Saturday but the second week should be more uniform.

Broke keto, drank a lot and watered up. Jumped up like 8 lbs because of that. Lost 6 since Sunday and now we're straightening back out but sheit. I don't reckon my TDEE is quite as good as ~4775
>>
Can I get a quick rundown on keto?

Already being steady with my cut and losing more than anticipated with cardio
Already doing 16:8 IF
Already doing cold-ass showers
I want to jump into keto because I'm eating
205g protein
90g fat
65g carbs
average per day, and I could easily make the change to keto, but I read a lot of shit in the keto meme thread especially shit about it eating away at your muscles, so I'm hesitant
>>
Does the keto meme actually help any or is it purely calories in / out?
>>
>>41476739
if it makes you feel like you're accomplishing something, then I suppose it 'works'
>>
>>41476719
Burns fat once it kills your carbs. You'll have less energy at the gym but no muscle decay.

Google 'keto ankerl' to get all your status, but you'll have to cut your protein down and lower your carbs to 20g a day, 50g net carbs max.

>>41476739
Both? I've noticed significant fat loss on keto, but I've also been on a large cut.
>>
>>41476746
I've lost weight already but it's water weight so I don't want to be excited for nothing.
>>
>>41476739

It helped serious curb my greatest weightloss enemy: hunger. I lost 50 lbs counting calories and exercising but I would still go to bed hungry every night. Now with keto I struggle to hit 1500 Calories a day since I have almost no appetite with all the fat and protein. Its great.

You can get there man easily. 240 isn't too fat. I've fluctuated from 125kg to 60kg up to 80kg and then back up to 110kg, now down to 85kg. You can pull off ottermode, just care for your skin with coconut oil and cocoa butter. Aim for around 150lbs. Good luck man!

No I was asking for those. Depends on your build and make up. I'm 6'2" and quite broad shouldered. I've been as low as 65kg and even though not technically underweight, I looked quite emancipated. The best way to judges how you feel; some are more comfortable at the lower end of the BMI for normal (18ish) whilst others prefer the higher end (24). Find where you feel the most comfortable. Starting goal should be to lose 20lbs, and then from there keep pushing your bf% down towards the 10-13% mark. From there, you can decide if you prefer to stay lean or start a bulk, moving between 10% and 20% as you bulk and cut.

This plus some curls of the deadlift weight. It is a heavy cut so I don't plan on increasing weight much. Also I don't have the proper equipment at all.

I'm cleaning to squat/OHP and using a foam roller to bench. Plus the weights are not olympic, so it is hard to do deadlifts.

Do you? Because what you posted is not SS, this pic is.

Also no, I'm not fully doing the program. You can even see that by my spreadsheet from my other post. Notice no A or B?

I'm on a severe fatty cut and don't have the equipment to do SS. I've doing my best with what I have and I have lost 8 pounds in two weeks so far with a combination of this, cardio (exercise bike), and a big cut.

Sorry kid but you can't do the program with a calorie deficit. Read the sticky or the book and they both say you can't increase lifts without eating. Sticky says you only need a 300-500 calorie surplus, but SS book says a lot more to increase faster.

I never said what I recommended was SS; sorry for the confusion. I meant that you should alternate your heavy lifts so you have more time to recover between. Thought it might help with the fatigue with lifting; my bad if I came off condescending or aggressive, wasn't my intention.

Okay that makes sense. My cut is too severe to increase much at all. This week I'm fine with fatigue. Last week I did have to skip workouts, but that was mainly because I hit it hard week one. 8 pound loss in two weeks is a lot for a body I guess.

In an ideal world you would bulk and lift heavier weights then cut with a goal of just maintaining those weights. You may slightly increase weights (during a cut) because of muscle efficiency gains, but overall it is basically impossible to increase weights with a heavy cut.

What do I suggest?
Well look at mine:
>>41478586
I'm on a heavy cut and the lifts are easier but increasing them much isn't going to work.

your fiber intake is heck of low is what I was getting at, and you ate basically nothing that isn't processed (which ties into the first bit). I'd put down money that you would have more energy for lifting if you swapped some of the boxed stuff out for veg and beans.

How many calories are you going to eat?

Or are you just planning tracking what you're eating now? Because that's what is sounds like. But the truth is that's 1000 times better than not counting them because it means you're not lying to yourself.

It would be a challenge to eat 3300 calories without carbohydrates. That's like two dozen scrambled eggs and 2 chicken breasts a day and you've still got room for more.
>>
>>41479097
wouldn't a tire leave one thick red line, not two small ones on either side?
>>
>>41479101
>your fiber intake is heck of low
I don't track or care about fiber. I do usually eat more broccoli, but I was starving after lifting/showering and ate the salmon patties as soon as I fried them up. As for processed stuff. I still had milk, egg, oil. The salmon sure was processed but they didn't add carb filler, just some vegetable broth. All that was in my store to make patties. Even the Tyson stuff was lower carb than what they usually offer.

>>
>>41479264
Nearly a year ago. I got really into running and started eating more to accommodate my bigger runs, but for like half a year now I have stopped running but kept eating..
>>
>>41479266
First week is usually a lot of water weight coming off. Mattter of fact by the third week when the weight loss really slows, that's the real weight loss and usually the point people quit because they feel their effort isn't being paid back.
>>
>>41479275
You may want to do 6 weeks of keto, only because you tend to lose water weight much more quickly with that diet. It is temporary of course and like any diet is ultimately dependent on calorie deficit. Still if you only have 6 weeks, then that is your best option.

Carrots and broccoli can come in bags with labels. Even if you don't trust labels you can find servings per stock or stick.

Maybe look at it in terms of body composition rather than weight goals, think of muscle mass vs body fat percentage, and how physically you want to look, ie "muscular", "toned", "bulky" (for me), and then guess/estimate what does that entail in terms of bf%, kgs to lose of fat, kgs of muscle to gain.

I'm thinking it should take something between two to four years right?
Right now I want to shed 5 kgs before I start the gym in a couple months (for financial reasons), I know that the last 5 are the hardest, but I am doing IF and keto with a calorie intake of 1200 cals and 35mins with free weights weight training at home and 20 mins cardio with a step machine (a gift) everyday. Anyways, thanks for your insight, predictions, it really helps me visualize a time frame at which my goal is feasible. Pic related, the "look" I am going for.

I started around 260 aswell, so not really in the huge territory yet, but I still felt extremely self conscious about my weight and whenever I saw one of the 300+ guys I felt like I was one of them. Having huge man boobs and overall pretty feminine fat distribution made it even worse.

Not really sure what I'm at now, to be honest I haven't stepped on a scale since I started. I guess not knowing my exact progress might be a bad idea, but I was scared of being disappointed, and now I don't really feel the need to know.

Yea nah your graph is whack. Bananas are 90cals per 100g, apples are 53. I'll give you double the cals. Still, bananas are so much more versatile than apples imo

we were talking yesterday about the jogging for a physical exam but i have another question if you perhaps know

before the physical exam i have a medical check up and i need to have a certain bmi to pass

anyways, my question is, if i eat at 700 kcal deficit and then eat maintenance 3 days before the medical check up, how much weight would i gain back you think?
>>
>>41477872
why the fuck do you keep spamming this shit retard we've told you that you need to lose more fucking weight in previous threads
>>
>>41482028
What's your current BMI and what do you need to pass? When is the physical exam vs the medical checkup?

If you eat at maintenance, you should do just that, maintain. I'd expect you'd gain maybe 1-2lbs in water weight as glycogen store replenish, hardly anything to be concerned about
>>
>>41481199
>bulky
hate when women use this term, women can't get bulky without using some form of steroids because women have the natty test levels of prepubescent boys
>>
>>41482050
current bmi is 27.1, need 27.9 to pass
the medical check up is in about 3 weeks so by then i'll probably already lost another 2 kg so i shouldn't worry too much i guess

ill eat at maintain 3 days before medical check up because they're doing an ecg and then ill hop on a deficit again until one week before the physical exam which should be 4 weeks after the medical check up
>>

If you keep to your macros and eat your protein at what it tells you, you won't have any muscle loss. That's been the misconception about keto though - you're supposed to reach the protein macro while keeping everything else low

>>41476739
Aren't all diets some form of CICO?

any that work, normies make up stupid shit all the time like notecard diets which don't actually lose them any weight
and lots of people fuck up keto by eating pounds of bacon and sausage every day instead of eating under their tdee
>>
>>41482148
it might be with good genetics but she's not bulky she's just super lean
probably 13% body fat instead of the 20 to 25% that women should be at regardless of muscle mass.

What should I eat for more energy?
Going at a relatively high deficit right now, with high protein and I feel like dying. Even just walking up the stairs makes me exhausted, which I never had before.

Thanks for the explanation. I am a former lean girl who got weight gain from a prescription drug known to increase appetite and sedative generally. Thing is I don't know how I got that lean in the first place, and I am trying to emulate the process again (which happened at the switch from teen to adulthood (17-19 years). Back then I was at 47.5 kg (I know it because I recorded it in my fitnesspal), which would estimate my bf% at roughly 17.4 which ain't bad since I wasn't starving myself either. I think I will still aim for 15% bf and see from there. thanks for the insight!

I thought I explained fairly well, that I WAS 17.4 %bf from a rough estimate of being 47.5 kg at the height of 165 cm back before my weight gain which was recorded on myfitnesspal in january 2013. I think I was at my lowest then, and gradually gained those extra 15 kgs (I am 62.2 kgs now) during the course of 3 years.
I don't take birth control though, the prescription drug is Zyprexa for bipolar disorder. I am thinking of quitting it and just going fit but mad.

What's your weight and how much are you trying to loose? Me is 124kg and trying to loose about 50 kilos before 2018 summer. Eating 1100-1400kcal a day not going too hardcore on all those vitamins and fats and carbs and proteins. i take a b12 pill just in case but the cereal and milk usually covers everything else. i know it's not an optimal diet but it's the only one that doesn't give me GI problems, eating actual meat is out of the question.

Im have an awful pearl body. Im 124kg but my stomach is not as big as some other 120kg men have. I have always had huge legs, even when I weight 75 kilos I would have to wear larger pants. Im trying to lose all my weight and go something between 70-80 kilos and then see what I look like, maybe trying to go under 70 kilos but will see

Yup, the same feeling is me with peas. I've been rushed to the ER so many times I've lost count when I was younger because my father thought it "was all in my head." Not a bad guy, just grew up oldschool in a poor family where food was scarce and you ate everything.

I get my omega from flaxseed too in my shake. I have fish maybe once a fortnight. Tried making fish stirfry and that was a flop haha. Think I'll bread the fish next time.
