tips that made the difference
make sure you get at least 1lb of protein per bodyweight
do fasted cardio in the morning i usually go for 6mile walk or 45min of cardio or sprints then weightlift in the morning
only drink water, green tea, coffee (Black) (I drink those before cardio in morning)
eat clean whole foods sweet potatos eggs skinless chicken lots of vegetables and fruits
time out your meals so you wont get hungry

Recently I tried keto for 4 months in order to try cut down to 10% for a holiday. Worked really well.

I dropped about 15-20lbs in weight but didn't become Noticeably defined as I had hoped

Does anyone have any ideas about what happened because it's been hugely demotivating.

I support this. I like to combine caffeine, yohimbine, and ephedrine once I feel like I plateau when cutting.
I use the same protocol as clen, either 2 days on, 2 days off, or 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off.
I've never been able to push myself to an RPE that high for cardio that wasn't a real life matter or life or death though. I prefer 60/120s, RPE 7ish for 60 seconds followed by 120 seconds of RPE 3ish.

Anyone ever taken yohimbine or ephedrine before lifting, not just cardio? Or before lifting and still did cardio afterwards?

This guy is probably a former fatty who has the top part of his abs barely showing, don't listen to his terrible advice, it's rife with broscience and semi-truths.

1. Take in about 300 less calories than you burn in a day.
2. 0.8g of protein per lbs bodyweight is PLENTY. There are no studies that show any benefits after that margin. (source: http://bayesianbodybuilding.com/the-myth-of-1glb-optimal-protein-intake-for-bodybuilders/)
3. Continue your normal training routine from before the cut if at all possible. Train and progress as if you were still on a normal diet, if you stall, switch up the workout or deload. Cardio only helps you burn more calories and benefits your cardiovascular health, it is categorically not needed for achieving low bodyfat.
4. Adjust your calorie intake down with time. A deficit of 300kcal should be maintained throughout; recalculate your TDEE frequently and account for changes in lifestyle as well (if say you're working around the house or go on a hiking weekend)
5. Stay consistent until you reach the desired result. If you wanna do cheat days, I recommend still counting all the calories and subtracting them from subsequent days' calorie count.
