Hey /fit/ I hurt my back a couple weeks ago I think because of leg press. I could move just fine and it wasn't some severe pain or anything. I still waited a couple of week anyways until it felt better. What do you think I did? I worked out legs yesterday every thing went fine leg press kind of aggravated it again though.

i often hurt my back by not stretching hamstrings enough before leg day. the hamstrings contract and stay tight and tugs on your lower back muscles. they are all connected. stretch it out bud

Next time you leg press pretend there is a towel right at the top of your ass crack that someone is trying to pull out. You shouldn't be lifting your butt/lower back off the rest at all, but often people do.

I don't know why, but I've never trusted this machine. Not that it has some malevolent intent, but I just feel they are unsafe, and there are more effective ways of working on your squat.
