Anyone else really struggle with Cin-ups on C6W?
I'm doing C6W and I'm really struggling on the upper body day chin ups.
After doing bench, db rows and db ohp, I can't get the required 12/12/10/8 weighted chin up reps, even when it's just bodywheight. (85kg)
When doing texas method my rows and chin ups were always my strongest lifts, being able to do 3x8 chin ups with 20kg added at 80kg bw.
Is it normal that I'm too tired to get the reps? Anyone else have this as well?

on my 2nd cycle btw, so I don't think not being used to this volume is the issue.
Also don't have this problem as much when the rep ranges are lower.

I wouldn't have run advanced large load if I wasn't gonna be out of commission for two weeks. What I ran prior, in order: SS, TM for squats, 28 free (3x beg bench and squat, 1x int dead), C6W with 3x int med from 28 free for 2 cycles, sheiko intermediate medium load to fix my squat form, MA's custom program he wrote for himself but slightly adapted for me because I was competing in a slightly different period of time than the program was designed for, then 3 weeks of advanced large load for the volume accumulation to not lose much strength. Gonna be doing hepburn A next.

Ok. Thx. Why so many programs? I ran candito linear up to 130kgx5 squat. Then did TM to a 4 plate triple. Then 28 briefly until I found out the squat is simpl too low volume, then swtiched to sheiko int. med.

TM was trash and didn't work for me and I didn't think I could enjoy TM/SS on a cut so I switched to 5/3/1. 28 free looked like a good way to get my strength back up after my cut and it was. The bench portion of c6w is suboptimal so I replaced it and got really good gains from both programs. My squat form was awful so I ran sheiko to fix it, and it worked. I ran MA's program because it looked like fun and was designed to peak me in exactly 5 weeks. And like I said before, advanced large load was to build up as much fatigue as I could relatively safely so I wouldn't lose much strength when not lifting for 2 weeks due to surgeries.

Yeah you can do the bench programs for OHP, I dunno how much luck you'll get out of them.

I have never been able to progress my OHP as fast as bench. I even dropped bench entirely for like a month and added nothing to my OHP in that time.

My only recommendation for OHP is to get big ass shoulders and do a lot of high rep auxiliary work.

Quick release is well liked among some and hated among others. Some say the buckle sticks too deep into the body and ends up being pushed out, but others have no such problems (might depend on the belt thickness, but I don't know). He's got an interest in making his stuff seem as widely applicable as possible.

Still, it (probably) can't hurt to try. OHP is a lot easier on shoulders than bench press, so you won't likely hurt yourself if it's too hard, you'll just fail some reps.

Or you won't. Either way, we'll learn if this bench program has use as an OHP program
