OP here I stopped buying vegetables from Costco cause it's really hard to eat entire bags of spinach before it goes bad. I get milk and vegetables from the grocery store. Frozen fruit is for smoothies.

Already have the supplements I need. I get those from bulk supplements.
>>
>>41452539
Everything on that table besides eggs, chicken and yogurt is garbage.
>>
>>41452726
I use it as a base. I'm not gonna grind up tomatoes and shit. I make great spaghetti for a non Italian.

>that frozen bag of "festival" fruit
trash it is. frozen berries, and fresh apples, pineapple, oranges, and bananas are better. berries are really the only frozen fruit you wanna fuck with.
>that breaded shit in the bag
why the fuck are you ruining the excellent nutrition profile of chicken with worthless bits of beard? fuck off with that shit right away
>prego slop
yea I guess you need something to make that pasta shit edible. just think of all the extra proteins/snacks/desserts you could have instead of fucking bread/pasta every day.
>>
>>41452756

Nah, the ground turkey is alright too. That's all though

>>
>>41452843
1 cup of greek yogurt is 23g protein for 140 calories. Also each tub was only $4.50. It lasts longer and doesn't take up as much fridge space also.

>>41452861
I love pasta. I keep spaghetti ingredients around for when I need a quick dinner. If I eat lean the rest of the day it's not a big deal. If I'm really watching what I eat I'll make zucchini noodles instead. Pasta lasts years so I'll buy it in bulk. I'll probably have the noodles at least a year before they're gone.

If I'm getting the protein I need why eat more eggs?

I get the pre-packaged yogurt because I take them to work as snacks. It feels like eating dessert. Stops sweets cravings. It's also cheap.

The fruit blend is cheap, tastes good. I buy fresh berries when they're in season.

The frozen chicken isn't pre-cooked and it still has 10:1 cal/protein. I use it to make buffalo chicken salads etc when I need a good, quick meal. It's a good, cheap, easy alternative to fried chicken. I don't always have time to make fresh everything.
>>
Good start, but you are like little babby. Watch this:

You're clearly a Costco-er.

Get the bag of Tyson chicken breasts. It is the walking bird of gains, so say thank you to it.
Replace the pasta with the edamame pasta right next to it, same aisle. Cooks in three minutes.
That chili has preservatives and too much oil, make your own with the beef triple packs they have, and get black beans for it. Eight cans of black beans is just a couple bucks.
Replace the string cheese with the 6-lb tub of cottage cheese they have.

And for fuck's sake, don't eat samples, leaving your cart sideways so nobody else can get through.
>>
>>41452940
I still have some frozen spinach left over from a previous trip, so I do. I prefer fresh in smaller quantities though, so I can get more variety.

>>41452903
I don't know and I don't really care. They taste the same as brown eggs, don't they?
>>
>>41452969
I do need to make my own chili. I get the cans because they're easy to take to work if I need to. It beats going to any of the fast food places around my office.

I never try any of the samples. that shit is infuriating.

I can't stand the knudsen's cottage cheese they have. I don't like the texture at all. They switched to a different brand for 1 week only a few years back. It was the biggest tease.
>>
>>41452728
>cause it's really hard to eat entire bags of spinach before it goes bad.

Son, don't speak ill of the spinach/kale blend. Put that in your spaghetti sauce, sprinkle it in your scrambled eggs, put it in your shredded chicken rice soup. Find a way to put that shit in nearly every meal.

And buy the prunes they have. Break up the oatmeal and creatine shits.

Pretty good except for the pasta, which is shit carbs, and the sauce, which has a ton of added sugar. Could've also got yourself some real cheese for cheaper.
>>
>>41453001

They don't have the Darigold tubs? Best cottage cheese I've ever had.
>>
>>41452956
eh, those are some decent reasoning.
not a bad meal plan if it meets what you need and doesn't break the bank.
>>
>>41453006
I dunno about your costco but at mine the expiration date is always in a couple of days, meaning I've got about 3 or 4 days to eat the entire bag before it goes bad. I only go to costco once or twice a month.

Nothing smells worse than kale or spinach that's rotting. I find the adult kale at the grocery store has a much longer shelf life, and it seems to have more fiber.
>>
>>41453020
I don't think they have it at mine. I'll check next time. I really prefer the greek yogurt to the cottage cheese though. Knudsens is popular because of richard nixon. He ate it with ketchup. A truly evil man.
>>
>>41453047

Oh, I'm talking the 10-lb frozen bag. It is finely cut broccoli and kale. Take as long as you'd like to eat it.

I get it with the fresh stuff. I bought the 20-lb bag of onions and can never get through them all.
>>
>>41453122
I've done the frozen green beans before and I have the frozen edamame always in stock. guess I could try the broccoli kale combo, but not sure how it would be in smoothies. If it sucks I'll still find a way to eat it, guess I'll try it next time.

everyone has made at least a few costco mistakes, the onions is a funny one. A lot of the time it's the same price to buy a bag of something 3x larger at costco as the grocery store. I just feel bad wasting food.
>>
>>41452611
low gi vs high gi foods show no influence on myoprotein synthesis, insulin spike or rate of recovery, even if taken 3-6 hours post exercise.

Protein content post exercise is dose responsive to show increase in myoprotein synthesis post exercise 30 minutes after being better than 2hours +

any carbs, (ones compared were rice, honey, malodextrin, and one low gi carb) showed no difference between insulin, MPS and igf-1

let's see...

shitty eggs and turkey are among the best things you bought, along with the greek yogurt which is actually decent.

egg whites? no. processed nonsense.

breaded chicken? ew gross. "chili" and "heart smart tomato sauce" both of which include high fructose corn syrup and other terrible additives. can't see spaghetti well enough but i'm guessing it's enriched bleached flour. doesn't that triple zero yogurt have artificial sweeteners? ew why would you pay for this nonsense.

string cheese? what, are you a little kid being raised by an irresponsible and obese mother?

fruit looks okay maybe but it might have bad things. you don't seem to know how to discern quality food from shit.

sorry i'm being mean but you should be doing so much better for yourself.

i guess enjoy the heart disease, if that's what you're into lol.

op is a perfect example of this, as evidence by their pic
>>
>>41454144
That's like 1 day of food. I buy vegetables & fruit at the grocery store as I mentioned before. I just buy non perishables at costco because they're much cheaper & I have room for them.
>>
>>41454144
>>41454221

yea indeed.. pic realted cost me 12usd, excluding the protein ofc

there is no excuse to eat shit in a developed country. buying fresh and in bigger quantities is usually cheaper than buying processed shit food.

why buy shit when you can buy the best for less money?

nice work bro. only thing- no point in getting more fresh ground beef than you can eat for your meal cuz you'll end up just freezing the rest anyway. just buy like 2-4lbs fresh and a thing of the frozen. cheaper.

are those dry fruit or what? i never buy produce from costco cuz i can't finish it in time so i just go to sprouts like twice a week.
>>
>>41454532
No just frozen fruit, it has strawberries, mango, pineapple and papaya. I put about a cup of it, a frozen banana, a cup of greek yogurt, handful of spinach or kale, and a half container of egg whites for a smoothie. I buy vegetables & additional kinds of meat for whatever meals I'm making that week.

Also cage free eggs from grocery store are a scam. Nothing wrong with buying humane eggs from a farmer, definitely a good thing to do. But on an industrial scale cage free eggs is basically legally meaningless. The conditions are no better.

Egg color is purely a matter of chicken variety. They don't wash or dye or do anything to them. Standard brown eggs are literally the same thing in a different color. They're white in America because that's what people are used to and calmaine is used to growing. They're brown in Europe because eurotards think they're better.
There are other egg varieties that have different colors and slightly different flavors. But you won't get them on commercial scale.

My wife grew up on an egg farm and I've worked on an egg farm myself.

>How did I do?
Dude, not great. It's not particularly unhealthy, relatively speaking, but you're not going to make it either.
You have fucking string cheese...string cheese brah...
Battered chicken? Battered chicken brah...
Regular pasta? I don't eat much pasta in general (sweet potatoes and brown rice brah) but, if I do, it's wholewheat brah...
Prego heart smart pasta sauce. Pic related is it's ingredients. 10g of sugar per 1/2 cup brah. You're going to be pouring at least a cup of that shit over your ground turkey there, aren't you brah? The heart smart shit is a gimmick brah. That stuff is bad; just less bad than regular prego.

Do you want to make it or not? If so, you're going to have to sacrifice. Spaghetti is a no no. Jars of sauce are no no's - you make your own and you don't use sugar to sweeten it. Cheese is just out of the fucking question unless it has cottage written in front of it (can also accept moderate amounts of quark/cream cheese). Batter? C'mon dude! There are ways to give chicken flavor without coating it in shit. Buy a spice rack. Learn how to make a few low-cal marinades.

I score you 4/10, and I'm being generous because I hate to demoralize fatties who're at least trying.
>>

Where are you? Do you have a good px or access to Costco type store off base?

You can do amazing stuff with a blender and fridge. Yogurt, shakes, eggs from dfac or commissary.

You can also get an electric kettle and do all kinds of cheap ass cooking in there. I've boiled eggs and pasta in one of those. Also good for oatmeal.
Frozen veggies can be cooked in a microwave or with hot water.
The more I type the more I think up. Just brainstorm a bit.

Does your costco not have the vacuum sealed butterball ground turkey? Shit is way better than foster farms.

Foster farms chicken breast is where it's at though, not the tenderloins but the full breasts. Don't buy that frozen shit. Buy fresh chicken breasts, meal prep it, then freeze it yourself. Your fupa will thank me later.

$200 per week? month? two weeks?

Your best bet is to watch meal prep videos on youtube. Then, make a smaller portion of whatever they make and find a few recipes you like, then make the full meal prep.

Don't buy packaged/refined shit. Your money and gains will go further buying fresh. Also, try to find your local farmers market. Their produce is usually way cheaper than the grocery store.

It's because /fit/ is one of the four gateway boards to 4chan. Redditors flock to /fit/ and have no clue how to be a part of the board culture because they're fucking retarded and don't take the time to lurk. It's been like this for the past four years at least. They don't have their joke or sarcasm indicators so they take everything 100% seriously. Even if they do understand that it's a joke, the only thing they'll contribute is a "This." or an "Underrated post." because they can't click their upvote button but need the world to know about their opinion.

To top it off everyone is incredibly self-righteous and arrogant because they read the sticky and all of the sudden have a lot more knowledge than they did before. They think it's the end all, be all of fitness knowledge and so they try to preach and instruct others when, in fact, they know the barest minimum and should shut the fuck up. The most outspoken posters happen to be the ones that have the most shallow knowledge about the subject. /fit/ has always been hot garbage, but at least it used to have its moments. Nu-/fit/ is just bullshit and circlejerking 100% of the time.

Have some fucking dignity, ps, check the sugars - nothing natural and way too much.
Just learn to make your own tomato sauce - it keeps forever in the fridge, you can boil meat in it Calibrese style and it's ridiculously cheap.

>Prepackages "natural" chicken.
It's not natural, it's already breaded and fried.
Next time buy cheap breasts, pound them flat, coat them in a low carb breading.
Freeze and then roast them when required, just use a light spray of olive oil.

>Prepackaged pasta.
Bulking?
You should use Spinach/Ricotta ravioli for some better protein ratios.

>>41463032
They only sell quark in certain grocery stores in the USA, and it's not that cheap. The greek yogurt at costco is super cheap. I got it for $4.50 for 6 servings, 23g protein each serving.

>>
>>41463156
Depends how you like your sauce.

But, plain roma tomatoes, basically fill the pot until you're at the level you want if you're using real tomatoes, or 2/3rds of the way if you're using canned tomato paste.
Add one-two onions per litre of sauce - precaramelise if you like the sauce to be sweet/less acidic.
Two cloves of garlic per litre - usually use about a whole head per cook.
Spices/extra ingredients (mushrooms, roast eggplant, etc).
Carrots to reduce acidity to taste.
Mince if that's your thing.

If you're using whole tomatoes, boil them for a few minutes and mash them, makes the sauce take less time.
Throw the ingredients into the stock pot and leave it on a low simmer for a few hours, until it tastes right.
Package it per serve/use and freeze.

We once did a cook in a 44 gallon drum and it last the whole family a year.

Bonus, get some dirt cheap steaks, anything that the store is selling as basically dog meat, sear both sides to taste and leave it in the sauce - tastes fucking incredible.

Try and get meat with the bone in, spine and neck is good - it adds flavour and let's you know when the sauce is ready (when the meat falls off the bone into the sauce).

Do this when tomatoes are cheap and you'll make a gallon for less than $10.
>>

I'm not fat. If I was fat I wouldn't buy the pasta. I do recomp diet so on bulk days I'll eat the pasta, on cut days I'll put the sauce over zucchini noodles. I've tried whole wheat, black bean noodles, etc and I can't stand any of them. I absolutely love the taste of refined, bleached pasta. I love pizza also. I have enough willpower to eat shit in moderation. I eat a lot healthier than my grandparents ever did and they all lived into their 90s so I'm not worried.

>>41463156

>>
