Is it easier for a short guy to lift heavy weights or the other way round? I thought it was easier for the tall guy, because he can pack on more muscle, but my friends says that the shorter guy have an advantage because of range of motion and shit. What about aesthetics?
Short guys tend to have more explosive power, they're also more successful in powerlifting and weightlifting because their limbs are shorter. There's a correlation between height and a fast metabolism, meaning tall guys don't gain muscle easily.

1. no correlation between height and explosiveness, saying short guys tend to have more explosive power is fucking asinine
2. tall guys gain muscle just as easily (obviously tallfags have higher TDEE than shortfags and need to eat more), there is just more area to spread it over so X amount of muscle won't look as impressive on a 6'4" frame as a 5'9" frame
3. height and relative segment length (which is what matters from a powerlifting standpoint) are not the same thing, you can be a tall guy with relatively short arms and be a monster presser (Kirill Sarychev is 6'5", bench press WR holder) or a short guy with relatively longer arms and be a terrible presser
taller guys are generally more aesthetic.
long torso = more platform for lean muscle.

What?

Tall guys often gain more easily. Depends on the exact reason for the tallness but obviously generally tall people have better protein synthesis than shorter people.
