if your posture is already weak it could cause it to get a lot worse, especially in the lower back

also it'll make you sweat quite a lot, and you can't just ditch it if you're out in certain situations so you're stuck with it if it becomes too much

other than that it's pretty great for calf gains because of the whole endurance growth thing in your forearms and calves
