How exactly is hitting the same muscle from a different angle supposed to stimulate growth in a certain area of it?

Incline benching uses more anterior delts and tris, but that muh upper chest stuff is bullshit.

because it isn't the same muscle fucko
>>
>>41401471
as if you can't feel the muscle difference while you're doing it

>Upper chest is bullshit
>Proceeds to post a picture outlining different muscles in the pectoralis

It's exactly the same as the difference between anterior, lateral, and rear delts. Each head performs a different function. Your upper pec is utilize more when doing transverse shoulder flexion at an incline.

What you're thinking would apply to the "lower" pec as if implying there's a mid pec as well.

>the pectorals is one muscle
The body is not made up of 600 muscles. There's a continuous array of muscle fibres which can be grouped into muscles and muscle groups for the sake of classification.

Best way to train the whole chest is flys. Though flat benching with an arch is actually decline benching which uses the whole chest. But benching could be bottlenecked by triceps or front delts or even your back (can't hold the scaps together and lose your posture).

So, if you want to make sure to that your chest is fatigued sufficiently by training, train it in isolation.

This threads shit but can someone explain the importance of decline bench to me?
>>
>>41402029
When i was young and dumb i would skip back for more bench cause my bench sucked not realizing i was fucking myself further because i was bottlenecked by a weak back.
>>
>>41402070
There is none. Do weighted dips instead.

incline bench works upper chest more but the difference in activation between flat/incline bench is negligible. http://suppversity.blogspot.com/2011/07/suppversity-emg-series-musculus.html
>>
>>41402070
sick gains bruh
>>
>>41402070
declining bench means no gains
>>
Try reverse grip Dumbell bench press
>>
>>41402115
How is that even possible?

not only that but depending on the angle of the bar path some muscle fibers which are perpendiculary under the bar are going to do more work than say some fibers of the same muscle group that happen to be slightly higher or lower in the muscle
