Who else /fastingforenlightenment/ here? I’ve only been eating one meal before bed more and more lately, and now I've started doing it every day because the psychological (and obviously dietary) benefits are incredible. I find that it gives me much better control of my mood.

Agreed on mood benefits but can u make any gains with just eating once a day?

Im currently doing a one day fast; it will probably total roughly 32 hours from meal to meal. I was hungry during breakfast after waking but now it has subsided to a minor craving for food. I feel i could go even longer. I was able to lift today without any noticeable change in strength although i didnt go for any PR's. Ive noticed minor mental clarity increase and a definitive increase in sense of smell.

I'm waiting for the Blessed month of Ramadan to come so I start my cut and fasting. Right now I'm hitting the gym as strong as possible. Fasting brings all kinds of benefits its confirmed.

i actually don't count calories and i'm terrible at estimating them. i eyeball if by eating basically the same things every day (things i like) and then add/subtract/replace based on my goals. Amusingly, my personal benchmark for a "good day" at the uni cafeteria was a dozen wings, four uncrustables, fried rice, something green, and orange juice. plus whatever coffee i drank earlier.

i've gone two days but you shouldn't if you are lifting. you need to eat at the end of the day. otherwise there are no gains. the psychological and physical benefits all come over the course of the day anyway.

yeah dude as long as you put the work in at the gym and eat enough protein before you go to bed. pic in OP is me for reference. 5'4 ~145lbs 20yo 4yrs natty
