sounds stupid. fat loss is determined by calorie deficit and macros, not how many hours in a day you eat. if you want maximum fat loss then do lyle's RFL diet

With my brosciency logic, it would work IF you lifted while fasted, and that in turn didn't cause you to binge on calories after, though I would say having your food directly after the gym would benefit you more.

for weightloss:
if you eat medium-low caloric whole foods, it can be hard to overeat on just one meal a day.
if you shove nuts and shit into your face, it might not work.

for building muscle:
it's quite hard to get enough protein, good fats, fiber, etc, in in one hour.

You have to fast for exactly 23/24 a rotations around the sun or it's all for nothing. Even a second off and you dun fucked it all up. Most people forget that a day isn't actually 24 hours so they fail. Gravity plays a huge roll in this. We don't have leap day for nothing.
