i keep getting dismayed about possibly
becoming fat.

i want to build up my chest and reach at least a 100kg bench with 8 good reps, i've got to 95kg but when i look at my body I get disheartened, especially when i bloat up.

and this is after more water and a few diet pepsis

i just look like snorlax and lose all motivation to do anything other than cut like a chainsaw. sometimes by the end of the day i can weigh 90kg which is absurd.

What I can't stand is my body after I'm bloated. Should my decision to cut be down to how I look when bloated or how I look in general?

How much water/liquid do you drink, friend? I found that when I have a lot my body kind of stores it like it would fat. I think it's an actual thing that as an ex fatty your body stores excess water where the fat cells were, cause it certainly happens to me.

I literally just drank less water/liquid and it stopped. In fact, focusing on NOT drinking a few litres every hour made my food urges go away as well.

Yeah try what I did just cut down on the water and see if it helps.

You only need like 3L max each day, and that doesn't include like coffee or diet soda or even shit like the water you put in your oats.

You aren't fat dude, not even close. You could cut more if you really wanted but you're going to start seeing more loss in strength even with a good diet. It's May and I'm assuming you live in the northern hemisphere so I'd say eat at maintenance through the summer and then start a slow bulk in the fall. Body dysmorphia sucks.

if you haven't started lifting you should probably do so.

in my weight loss i ate <1200kcals daily, ran 5ks 4-6 times a week and didn't lift once.

the result was i developed low testosterone, became depressed and had virtually no muscle mass. by the end i was in so much pain i had to stop running and could barely carry a 2L bottle of pepsi
