I usually break a plateau by changing my eating and exercise habits. If I usually don't eat much fat,I'll try upping that a bit, move a bit more,maybe try eating different foods that I usually don't eat (not sugary or fast food of course) and the plateau is broken after some days. Keep going,it is definitely worth it!

I've been working out for 6 whole months. 4-6 days a week usually for about an hour. I do a mix of cardio and strength training (normally half and half). I've only dropped about 8 pounds in that amount of time and I'm starting to become frustrated because the last two months I've seemed to have plateaud because no matter how hard I work out there's just no weight loss.

My diet is as follows:
Breakfast, 2 eggs with 1 serving of cottage cheese and 1 bottle of water
Lunch, a variety of things but I've been eating

Bumble Bee chicken salad crackers because it's the easiest thing to take to work

Before I eat dinner and go to the gym for 60 minutes. I drink another water bottle

For dinner normally it's a veggie burger with cauliflower tots/normal veggies or fruits. Or I'll have chicken breast.

Before Lunch and Dinner I have a small snack of either an apple, muffin, or strawberry fruitbar (I work at a daycare and the extra snacks they have left over are for the staff since they throw it out usually).

If anyone can give me some good advice to a struggling person such as myself I'd really appreciate it.

I've been cutting at 1700 cals for 2.5 months now. Went from 280 to 255 (6'1 male) slower than it should be, but not bad loss. Averaging 2.1lbs a week.

Kinda same for me, I was taught not to have leftovers because that's tantamount to wasting food. Think of all the starving children in the world with nothing to eat yet here you are wasting food away, as my mother used to say.
It got worse when I also ate the leftovers of my brother and sister, and there were timew when they just left so much that I wouldn't get my own serving and just eat what's on their plates. For some reason my parents just weren't as strict with them like they were with I. At least I didn't turn out to be spoiled like them I suppose.

Hey guys. I went from water fasting anon to intermittent fasting anon. Well idk what the fuck I'm doing anymore, I just can't do this calculated -500 calorie + exercise routine shit.


Successfully fasting for 3.5 days helped me a lot man. Didn't watch a single food porn video, had no cravings, no hunger pains - just satiation for the past 8 hours. i had a bit of bunch and a snack earlier and old me would keep eating but I gained some serious mental fortitude during my fast and was able to tell myself that I already had 1000 calories pretty early in the day. No eating again. And here I am. Contemplated fasting again tomorrow because I reached a XX9 milestone this morning but have probably already gone over the fence due to water and refeeding. However, I have a leftover slice of cheesecake that isn't going to waste so, if I eat anything tomorrow it's going to be that.

Another thing I learned during fasting is not to freak out and eat just because my stomach growls.

I've been getting back into jogging again and I intend to keep it up this time and keep going even when I wanna stop.
I made a bet with my friends: if I didn't lose 25 pounds by the 6th September I would shave all my hair off and bake it into a cake.
I've lost that kinda weight before and I've still kept most of it off, but does that goal seem feasible to you guys?

Atm I'm on the 5th week of Couchto5K and jog on alternating days, four times a week in total. On those other days I do some exercises with light weights (they're only 2.5kg) which totals to about 200 reps.

currently on 1200 a day cut, and have lost ~15kg in about 4 months but its not been easy, and b4 anon begins with his lecture i am at 5'6" manlet tedee so 2k is maint for me and 1500 was ok but it left too much on the table for me so i just cut further. diet curently is meat with veggies for lunch proton coffee for breakfast and proton oatz with blueberries for dinner... so far its been nice im close to goal, have been doing bodywieght training so i has muscles, once im happy with bodyfat % ill go up to maintainance and see what happens. im at about 19% and i want to get down to 12-14% range...
all in all if i can do it as a uni student i see no reason u cant unless u have shit discipline
