It's aged very well. I think the fact that people either love this movie or hate it, shows that it evokes some kind of emotion from people which is what kino is.

Scandinavians really have a fondness for >tfwnogf movies
It's amazing extent to which it has predicted the invasion of male spaces by women and the crisis of unexpressed masculinity - nowadays there are literally people who believe that women can get testicular cancer; even the purposefully ridiculous opening premise of the movie has happened.
"Marla, this chick, did not have testicular cancer"
Eh, think again sweetie.
Fundamentally it's a satire on gender roles where numbed and castrated (a few literally) men without positive women beat each other half to death for camaraderie's sake and women without positive men are left to suicide and sex toys in dingy apartments. It's astoundingly prescient.
Quick question /fit/, if you could fight someone who would you fight?

Ex best friend - we were going to travel the world together but he ends up ending our friendship and dating my just-turned ex girlfriend from what was a really difficult and shit time in my life.
Keep meaning to join a boxing gym I'm sure it's all kinds of fun.
>Bob has bitch tits.
might not even fly today with the HAES shit.

Mike Tyson
I'd get my ass kicked, but at least I'll know where I stand.
Also I'd probably never be afraid of getting into a fight ever again after that.

It didn't really predict it, so much as it was showing what was already going on at the time.

>Mentally ill DYEL lives vicariousily through muscular alter-ego

As a disillusioned teen it was perfect.

This desu.

I'd fight Milo Yianopolous, Lena Dunham, or this guy who
cucked me
my first year of college
Can I only choose one?
>>41383557
No. Durden is a nihilist or a cynic or something else. Not a communist. He's almost anarcho-primitivist in a sense in the book.
