All I did so far was reduce calories slightly (not actually counting but I have a good feel for it) and started drinking more water. As you can see from this pic from one month ago, most of the extra weight that I am carrying deposits around my hips and lower back, but it's also the first to disappear. The abdominal fat is my biggest problem, because even at 140lbs last summer I didn't have a six pack unless I flexed.

used to hit the gym when i was 20, 21 thought id never stop.
looked great, felt even better.
found gf, 5 yrs now, and got beyond lazy.
recent thyroid disorder made me lose 30 lbs, then gain another 40 back (now that it fell underactive)
want to start up again, almost 7 years later.

i work labor filled jobs, bought a gym membership, but 5am just isnt early enough anymore. bought equipment for home instead, but will keep paying the membership. bars, weights, bench, etc., and calisthenics comes pretty easy for me, given stature.

throw me some pointers as far as diet, supplements, routines, also tell me im not getting too old to really look great. i know i gotta lose some bf, im not a runner, but have access to ellipticals, spin bikes, etc. want to work on the gut first and foremost.

it really is not a /fit/ approved routine so you guys are all gonna circlejerk over how retarded this is but it's working for me so fuck it:

I don't bother with the random herb supplements but I take 3g of BCAA, 5g of creatine, 1g of Vitamin D and 2 scoops of pre before every workout (it tastes like crap though, almost throw up every time)

I work out every day without rest days, I only skipped 3 days since I started, 1 because travelling and 2 because I had a pretty strong fever (I know this is pretty retarded but I can't not go to the gym anymore)

I do 5 mins of cardio before every session to warm up
then I decide whether I'm gonna do upper body, back & core or legs on that day (depending on what hurts least, it's usually upper body roughly every second day). Then start off doing either Bench+OHP or dlift or squats
then I do accessory stuff for an hour or so
then I do 20-60 minutes of cardio depending on how much I did that day (when everything hurts I generally cut the day short and do more cardio instead to feel good about myself)

I generally stopped eating unhealthy foods except on Fridays. Only go out once a week on Fridays as well now. Most of my calories come from Chicken breast, eggs, peanuts, milk, cereal and sandwiches.
I started going to sleep at 9-10 pm and generally get around 7-9 hours per night.

I'm aware that there is literally no professional that would approve of this lifestyle, don't need /fit/ to tell me that my routine is retarded
