You should read some Stoicism texts (I recommend something modern that sums up Marcus Aurelius, Zeno of Cetrium and Seneca), then I'd add Revolt against the Modern World and then Ride the Tiger.

That does not mean that he didn't share such feelings; in some of his writings a very romantic and almost spiritual vision of a society free from capitalist chains emerges. He just wanted the critique to be robust.
