I'll lie about my opener and then adjust it at the last minute so that your preparation time changes without much notice. Even your handler is not immune - if your handler fucks up I'll make fun of them too.

Once or twice, I've gained kilos by making someone fuck up, but usually, it's just shit talk for shit talk's sake.

I had a new handler at my last meet, and I'm pretty sure she had never seen this side of me before - she made a note on my handling sheet that I had a serious problem with talking smack.

Uspa does have tested events, I'm competing in one in august. I doubt they will jump ship though. Despite uspa allowing more "fun" stuff, the IPF is still looked at as the Olympics of powerlifting. Fun v olympics, olympics wins every time. People love the idea of competing for and winning a medal for their country despite no one really caring about it. Almost all the lifters in IPF are clean. The reason is that squat suits add much more weight than diddily suits. For classic, it is that the heaviest guys get a much better bounce in the bottom while their big legs and stomachs push the bar in front of them, making the lockout almost impossibly hard. If you look at for example Jezza Uepa he's very fast off the floor and fails very near lockout when he fails. When you roid, the muscle/fat ratio is better so you can have the bar closer to your center of mass while still having a large body mass.
