Simplest advice you can get.
Occasionally skip lunch if you're not going to have a hectic or exhaustive day.

Remember that most liquids that people mindlessly drink have more then enough calories for an entire meal or can be the entire daily calorie allowance of women or smaller men. So drink only water

Eat veg and clean meats and maybe a fruit, or a well balanced home cooked/prepared lunch. Homecooked food is almost always healthier than anything prepared or premade.

Or you can YOLO and eat whatever you want. BUT make damned sure it well within your calorie allowance for the day. If it goes over eat less for dinner or skip dinner altogether.

Any time. Take up a hobby that gives you legitimate joy, something you can take pride in the time and effort put into it. I personally have warhammer (painting and modelling) and playing boardgames.

As for the shelter, it really helps to get a perspective on the other side of life. I was homeless for about 6 months so I like to help out every now and then because I know what it's like to be down on my luck, and it helps keep me humble to remind myself that I could still be there.

Bring a cooler with you, eat throughout the day, and have a protein shake too if you can. Don't buy from the food truck that comes around. If you're depressed try zoloft or any ssri, it's helped me feel level as fuck, no more suicidal thoughts. It's not a magic pill, I just feel very robotic with some regular emotions. It's like putting your brain in time out to fix yourself.

I'm maintaining my strength and dropping a pound every few days. I eat between 1000-1600 calories per day depending on how I feel of mostly protein at 6'3. You're body doesnt go to it's muscle for food first, that's silly. Why do you think animals get fat for winter when food is scarce? It's so they eat their fat as they hibernate. Bears don't get weak and anorexic from hibernating my dude.

But if you can't give up carbs don't even bother. Sacrifices must be made. You get used to it. Everything DOES get better. Fuck this silly pessimistic shit I always hear.

You be in charge of yourself, have confidence in what you believe, stand for something and accept yourself. You don't need to be chad no matter what the extroverted thinkers may have you think. Well fat,

83 days ago I weighed 328lbs. That wasn't even my heaviest, but thats when I started tracking my weight. I'm 5'11", so 328 was Obese Class III, or morbidly obese.

Today, 83 days later, I'm down 45.6 lbs to 282.4, which is a BMI of 39.39. Granted, I'm still a fat fuck, and have a long way to go, but I'm officially obese class II.

It slows down when you get to 200, basically what it seems to be is that the skinnier you get, the more dependent on exercise you become, in order to lose weight. Factually speaking, because your natural TDEE gets smaller as your weight shrinks, you need to work out more, work out harder, or a combination of both, to burn more calories to maintain the deficits you used to run.

If I'm already averaging .5+lbs of weight loss a day, how important is it to incorporate cardio now vs. later? I feel like I should keep walking and lifting until I hit a hard plateau, then start cardio, but I'm not sure if thats a bad idea because even though I'll be losing weight, my cardio will still be in shit shape?

One day last year I realized I had passed over into Class I Obese; now I'm just a few pounds shy of a healthy weight. 45 pounds lost. I was pretty lazy and maintained most of the winter at 190. Down to 180 today and still going.

I'm only hitting a calculated deficit of 300 today but I'm gonna take a walk and do my normal leg day workout, so I should be okay (I don't try to add in the calories burned from cardio/lifting to my tracked calorie total).

Basically craving is food as an addiction. I've been there, but really once you start exercising it should go away to a large degree. Granted, I have been calorie counting, but I don't really watch what I eat nearly as much. I maintain portions and understand that processed / sweet ass foods have significantly smaller portion sizes for acceptable amounts and thus count them accordingly if I do consume them.

Heart rate monitor may help, but it's still an estimation. There's no way to be 100% correct unless you workout in a metabolic chamber. 500-600 calories for an hour of running or something comparable in terms of effort seems reasonable to me, depends on your weight though.

When I have a "cheat day", I don't go over my daily target, I just nibble on some celery or whatever all day to hold off hunger then eat all my calories for the day in one big sitting.

Hell, I usually end up with less cals on cheat days because I just cant cram that much down all at once, even if it's delicious shit I love.

Some program/website gave me a 2179 calorie intake to lose 2 pounds per week with my activity levels (sports 6 -7 times a week 1-2 hours) and a 3,084 calorie intake for maintaining my weight.

I started counting calories couple of weeks back and was really surprised how many calories some foods contained. This pizza was a real nuke though.
