I prefer a spin bike over bike trainers
I feel less balanced on a bike trainer, and I feel like I get a more strenuous workout on a spin bike
Athletic point of view, spin bike is better, best way to do hiit without worrying of not die in a crash
Just do some cardio point of view: get a smart trainer and get zwift

The seat makes my nuts fall asleep, doesn't happen on my real bike.
Off-road biking is great exercise for the whole body. No risk of car crash, either.
But real biking is fun and you get to explore places and feel the wind and learn your neighborhood
...unless you live in a busy city then better not to die.

How do I stop seeing cycling as a "go from home to get to home" meme?
When I cycle, no matter the distance, I just wanna get to the destination. That's it.
How do I casually ride? Enjoy the sights? Just ride to explore?
So I'm really fat and decided to use a stationary bike to maybe save my joints while I do cardio. But by 30 minutes or so of cycling some of my toes are starting to get numb, I assume from my fat ass on that tiny seat. Should I just keep going or what?

switch to eliptical if it hurts
Is cycling better cardio and calorie burning wise than stationary bike?
I've been thinking about buying one, but good one can get expensive. I'd have to ride a lot on the street since we don't have bike lanes in my part of town, lot's of up and downhill and can't really use it to go anywhere because it will probably get stolen so just for riding around and straight home. Kinda feels like stationary bike with intensity levels etc is a better option and just running outdoors would be better choice, albeit a lot more boring.

Try shifting your weight a bit to one asscheeck to see if it still happens. I did cycling on shitty home trainer bikes when I was 140kg or something and didn't really experience it though.

I don't think you'll see a huge difference, m8.
