Prowler sled if you have access to one. If not, C2 rower. Virtually no eccentric component so you won't be sore afterwards. HIIT with like 30s on 120s off or something similar for 10 cycles is more or less all you'll need for conditioning, and it won't affect your recovery as badly as running or cycling. Do it 2 or 3 times a week on off days. Make sure you eat enough.

Not that guy, but will isn't everything. Even if the split is well programmed in terms of design and progression, the noob lifter lacks proprioception and CNS development to not progress efficiently. SS and Reg Park's recognize this overall weakness and seeks to correct it relatively quickly so more complex routines can take place.

Not saying that splits are terrible because they do have their place. But for beginners, there's a lifting learning curve to get over before the splits yield better returns

The first and final /fit/ redpill is calisthenics+cardio. Want athletic ability? Want aesthetics? Want stamina? Want fair amounts of strength? Go with a calisthenics progression program and incorporate cardio. If you really wanna lift, you can include it after building some lean mass and strength. SS is trash and has always been, and PPL and any variations of it, while fine, and is not for beginners.
