One fat dude I knew passed kidney stones three times, another lady did twice, and my mother once.

The thing they all had in common: excessive soda (fat man exclusively drank diet Coke). My mother would go through a 2l of regular Coke a day and it took her awhile to get a kidney stone, so diet pop might actually be more effective. No other liquids.

I had a stone attack this past Tuesday. I had been slacking on my diet and stress drinking soda for a week (goddamn final projects), and I got another one.

A few years ago I had 3 in a 4 month span (all 3 requiring a procedure because of their sizes), which led to me developing an opioid addiction.

If you drink anything else, and not /just/ soda, you're going to clear out some kidney buildup. And like I said, it seems from the three cases that I know of-- diet drinks are much worse for your kidneys.

Protip for anyone who doesn't want kidney stones ever: doctors who are kidney specialists almost all drink lemon water, constantly. The slight acidity helps break down anything that is built up in your kidneys, so that you can pass it normally.

If you have a bad soda habit, just drink something slightly acidic that isn't syrup based regularly, and you should be fine forever.

I got gall stones once from cutting too hard. Not one of those people that regularly visits the hospital so out if off til I was basically dead.

I hadn't shit for a week, eyes were jaundiced as fuck, and unbelievable stomach cramp / pain, to the point I didn't sleep for a few days, so then I decided the problem wasn't gonna work itself out.

Doc said I probably woulda died if I held out much longer.
