is 4 days enough time to get unaddicted to caffeine?

4 weeks, maybe
no

what if im not hugely addicted? the cravings have stopped entirely but still wanna use my preworkouts. but i want to afford the part of the addiction cycle where you need to increase the doses to get any effect
>>41235286
sorry meant *avoid not afford
>>41235245
Yes cycle down. If you take 200mg take 150 then 100 then 50 them 0. Easy as that to avoid the withdrawal headaches and fatigue.

oh no i cut it all out 4days ago had headaches for 2 days but after that i was good. stupid i know but will having done that lower my tolerance for caffeine?
>>41235245
I went a week without coffee and don't consume caffeine any other way. It was pure misery. I felt instantly better literally as soon as I took a sip. Caffeine isn't addictive my fucking ass. No reason to quit otherwise tho so meh whatever.

Don't listen to anyone else in this thread.
The headaches that you get after 48 hours are the worst of it. Your receptors are re-regulating. Your tolerance should be back to nearly normal within one week of last consumption.

Physically, it takes a few days. Mentally it will take a few weeks.

The withdrawals last for ~3 days if you quit cold turkey.
Depending on your addiction level cold turkey may be the best option.

For reference I was consuming 8-10 double shot black coffees a day last year when I quit cold turkey.
I was barely functional for 3 days and felt completely horrid.
but but but caffeine is good for you?

i'm an addict and would have headaches when i can't drink, but there are not too bad consequences to that right? if i am wrong then redpill me.

Jesus lad, no wonder

Honestly surprised at how well cold turkey went for me but then uni ramped up again and I turned back to caffeine.
Now I drink 1 cup of coffee and 1-2 cups of green tea a day.
