Bodyweight training thread.
I've got a few questions:
What type of results can we get from bodyweight training only ?
Does anyone have a picture of someone using bodyweight only ?
What are the bests exercises ? How much reps ? Should I take a long ass time to do each rep ? Will this make me gay ?
Also, general thread. Shares your experiences or whatever

>What type of results can we get from bodyweight training only ?

Both of these can be answered by just looking up pics of gymnasts.
>What are the bests exercises ?
Hollow body hold, arch hold, handstand pushups, pistol squats, glute ham raise, warrior pose.
>How much reps ?
Do 10 for every set of every exercise.
>Should I take a long ass time to do each rep ?
Yes, go in a slow and well-controlled motion, be sure to keep your muscles tensed as much as possible.
>Will this make me gay ?
Only if you wear gloves like the dude in the pic.

why would you go slow? I assume you want to at least increase power when doing these exercises.
And why just 10? When I was poor as shit I was doing 5 sets of 20 reps

Just structure it like a lifting routine if you only want to look good.
PPL is what I do. Google pushing, pulling. and leg bodyweight exercises. Apply progressive overload and proper diet and it's not much different than lifting.

Haven't you ever noticed that when you go slow and tense it's harder to do a lot of reps? It's about quality of reps much more than it is about quantity. When I started going slow and tense on my leg exercises my kicking power went through the roof.

But I am asking if there is really anything to it or if you are wasting time doing small volume. I assume higher volume works the same way in body weight exercise as weight lifting. Same with trying to gain more power by doing lifts more quickly.

There is a time and place for both. People don't do slow backflips. Explosion has it's purpose in certain movements. For beginners your advice is more safe, and sound but the stagnation might be tougher mentally than most people realize if you wait for slow reps on advanced movements.

height and weight?

oh right just realised you already said it

Small volume but very strong resistance always results in greater strength and mass gains.
Relatively high reps along with relatively strong resistance is what puts on mass and quality muscle.
