Ya know, no matter how many layers of denial i cover my motivations in. No matter how much i tell myself im lifting for a greater purpose, for discipline, betterment, enlightenment, and health, all my motivations and reasons simply boil down to one reason, women.

I like having a sense of control.
There's so much else in life that I have no control over.
I also like having a routine.
Controlling my calories, having a lifting plan and doing cardio helps keep me focused.
Hitting a PR or being drenched in sweat after cardio makes me feel proud of myself.

Lifting is the best hobby I've had so far.
Instead of blacking out drunk or doing some shitty acid and wasting my weekend I feel like I accomplish something.

I'm far from looking aesthetically strong, but I at least I can cross monkey bars again.
