Hey Fit, I got a story
>Talking about losing weight in locker room
>Say that you can lose weight eating whatever you want as long as under caloric intake
>He tells me Im wrong
>Says you can only lose weight If you eat healthy foods
>I tell him basic calories in v calories out
>Completely dismisses this and says you can only lose weight by eating healthy foods
>Tell him hes wrong, He says he teaches a health class and that makes him right
Was he right and Im braindead?
Tell me OP
if you ate one twinkey a day
and thats it
and did it for a month
do you think you would lose weight
he was wrong. you can tell by the fact that he had to use his credentials as evidence. if your credentials are your only argument, you're wrong
Well, if you actually knew your shit you'd be able to give him a good counterargument. Instead, you just said "no, you're wrong!" Good job, retard.
If you only eat one candy bar a day you will lose weight...
Candy bars are unhealthy but only eating one a day means significant less calories in versus eating 5 bowls of fruit a day.
It's maths. You're 100% right... 1000 calories of candy bars vs 4000 calories of fruit, nuts and vegetables aren't the same.

Not op but yes. Literally energy in vs energy out. Excess energy = your body produces fat. Energy deficit = your body eats fat.
That's it. That's literally it.

I stopped arguing with him after he told me that even in a caloric deficit any sugar intake will likely be stored as fat, and I wouldnt waste my energy arguing with someone who doesnt know basic in v out

consider the following
your aim is to lose weight and your "calories out" is 2500
you consume 2000 "calories in" in the form of drinking vegetable oil
you wouldn't lose weight in the form of fat, if anything you'd put on some chubb
but overall you probably would lose weight alongside your health
yes you do lose weight, but eating different foods provides different advantages, that's why /fit/ recommends muh brotein

You'd go keto and start losing fat. Dummy
