Thanks Based anon. I was going to start this if it wasn't up again.
Last thread hit 200+ replies. Are we back?

hope so
there's a discord now but it isn't too active so it might not kill the threads
ps. what's up with torokhtiy's jerk?
>>41202115
His split jerk or push jerk?
Apparently his coach got him to push jerk at the Olympics because he was unable to catch the bar. At least that's what he said in an AMA.

I really like Langs tech.
>>41202142
yeah the jerk at the olympics
https://youtu.be/61dhC4erQPQ?t=1m6s
looks like it's a mix of split and push jerk, but that'd explain it
was it reddit ama?
>>41202161
Yeah, one of his Plebbit AMA's. Can't remember which!

>>41201939
was literally watching some of his videos
>tfw experimental class yesterday and already snatched and cleaned
oly lifts are fun as fuck, holy shit, I don't want to do anything else but this
teacher was fucking crazy tho, first class, started with an empty 6kg barbell, fnished the 1 hour class snatching 29kg and cleaning 40kg, hadn't felt so tired in a long time
>>41202908
of course, there are corrections to be made, but the I got the basic of the movements, wasn't hard because I've been doing SS for a while
recorded one snatch too, maybe later I will convert to webm and post here
>>41202943
Do it
And yeah, the first classes were almost cardio
How to increase ankle flexibility? I am 100% sure this is what is holding back my snatch depth
>>41203139
get a pair of wl shoes
>>41203162
I own them, my flexibility is actually that bad

stretch daily, twice a day would be even better
>>41203187
Wouldnt the third hip exercise in the second video result in tighter hip flexors?
>>41203457
activated Hip flexors for squatting, like they said in the video
But you're right, it could result in tht, when youwouldn't do anything else.
>>41203139
It's not.
>>41200265
How do I into beautiful chinese squats mode?
>>41205512
Start squatting at 12yrs old. Possibly younger.
>>41205512
be chinese
when it says "Clean & Jerk – 5 x 2+1" what does the "+1" mean?
>>41206657
2 cleans one jerk? not sure
>>41206657
Probably "2 is a minimum but if you can do one more". Just like + is the AMRAP sign.
>>41206657
>5 x 2+1 means 5 sets of 2 reps of the first lift and 1 rep of the second lift. For example, clean & jerk - 5 x 2+1 means 5 sets of 2 cleans followed by 1 jerk per set.

>1. Turn feet out more.
>2. Those vidoes someone sent you are the shits - stupid and gimmicky. Continue the basic stretching you'll be doing & add in hindu squats/bodyweight calf raises 1x12 (daily) with split snatch holds for 20 seconds and occassional 'Warrior Pose' yoga variations.

>1. Train from child.

is this normal?

I've seen so many oly lifters squat like that. They just let their knees wobble so much. Why is that
do they simply not give a fuck
>>41209051
Seems alright to me in the webm. I find that it happens to me when maxing out too though, especially when I focus on staying upright, my hips can't pull my knees out hard enough but they certainly don't collapse into some valgus knee condition.
>>41209160
It's just that people usually say that's wrong, but I guess "people" also say that doing ATG squats is wrong but oh well
>>41209230
When the knees start pushing inwards you can get injured easier, it's not "wrong" per se but definitely not recommendable when your under higher loads. I would do more front squats (that problem almost never happens) but it's just so much more taxing and I need more work on my delts.
