Started at 220 lbs and now I'm down to 162 lbs after a year. I'm having a REALLY difficult time saying no to sweets. It feels like I'm being hypnotized. I wolfed down 3 cinnabon cinnamon rolls in minutes. I restrict calories almost for an entire day since I do intermittent fasting, but by the end of the day, I'm not craving food. I'm craving tons of sweet shit.

I'm 6'4" and weigh around 300 lbs. I've put on all the weight within the past 3-4 years or so. I used to be very active, running 5 km every day no matter what, jump rope, sports, and of course lifting. I tried running couch to 5km not log ago and dropped it. I've never liked running, but forced myself to do it anyways. Since gaining 80-90 lbs, I'm out on running, go ahead and judge me. My favorite method of exercise was always lifting, namely that 5x5 program, the name evades me. I was bench pressing 300+, squatting 400+, you get the idea. I've lifted all my life, what I'm interested in is a program that would suit someone who knows proper form and used to lift big, but needs to start fresh. I have enough knowledge to figure something out on my own, I'm looking for input and advice, unless someone can point me to a program that exists for this very reason.

Tldr; don't stop lifting don't get fat, namaste

I used to wrestle in college so I used to cut weight fairly frequently. Generally, protein rich foods leave you feeling fuller longer. Compare say a patty of meat vs a Twinkie. Both around 150ish calories. After one Twinkie you don't feel full. Now that's an extreme example but it demonstrates that a high carb diet won't fill you and thus makes it easier to slip (that's why people slip and eat a fuck ton of cookies or other junk food). It all depends what's in your diet but there's a reason chicken or turkey is always brought up- it's God tier when you're trying to cut calories. That's not to say you don't need carbs all together, you'll feel like shit without them. Just keep them in moderation.

This morning I broke 200lb recovering from 236lb.

I was 199.6lb on the scale, probably over after drinking and eating a little pizza and celebratory packet of munchies I picked up on my way back walking to the city centre this morning. I have since moved the goal to 182lbs so I guess I'm 2/3 of the way to my new goal and at this rate it's going to be achievable soon enough. Then when I reach it I will start my exercising seriously again. Suns getting out so cycling will probably start again.

I feel a lot lighter when walking down stairs and probably the first time I feel a little less disgust in myself in the mirror. I am obsessing over food... About 2 hours after eating I begin obsessing over not eating until I'm starving. Then I'll eat a little.

I had another binge last night.

I got in my truck and drove to Wendy's and ordered a triple cheeseburger. I was just going to eat that but it just opened the flood gates so I went back up and got three more triple cheeseburgers, and two 10 piece spicy nuggets, "to go" and ate in my car since was too ashamed to eat in the restaurant after what happened at Five Guys last time. Around 1am I made three eggs sunny side up, some oven potatos, and beans, followed by three bowls of cereal. Around 3am I walked over to the hole in the wall Mexican place (open really late because of the bars/clubs) and ordered two chicken burritos and two quesadilla plates. I feel really sick and still haven't slept, now I'm at work.

There are several different things in coffee that can cause stomachs pain. Some of them are begnin, pain aside, like the caffeine causing your muscles to cramp. Others could be a sign of underlying medical issues like gastritis.

If left untreated you could end up with stomach ulcers, which sucks hardcore, but this is not something to lose sleep over unless you start vomiting up blood or something(if coffee makes you vomit up blood, and you just failed to mention that symptom, please increase the emphaticness of my advice and go see a doctor right now.)

If you want to do some back alley diagnosis, you could try going to a truck stop and buying some of the caffeine pills truckers use to drive for 18 hours. See if those cause the same kind of pain in the same amount. I don't recommend this as a first option, but i get that doctors cost money.

First of all you are going to lose a lot of muscle tissue unless you are hitting a good level of protein. 170 grams of protein is in itself 680 kcal so you might not lose too much if you only ate pure protein, but then you'd be getting no carbs which will make you feel stupid (brain fog and shit) and no fats which is needed for absorbing a lot of vitamins and other important micros.

So if you are going to eat at 600 kcal a day you are either losing a lot of muscle or going into some sort of micro deficiency which could damage you. My bet is that you are doing both though.

Protein sparing modified fast

Basically you live off chicken breast, lean steak, egg whites and veg. It's tough at first but can get amazing results. It also allows you curb bad habits before transitioning to a more sustainable diet.
