How do you give a fuck?
For example, i want to have a fit body, i want my house to be clean.
But i want them now. When i wake up tomorrow i won't give a fuck. I will eat shit and won't clean my house.
WHAT IS THE SECRET?
just b urself bro
DISCIPLINE
There's really no secret besides telling yourself "You know for a fact you'll feel great after you do it, and you'll feel like shit if you don't" and forcing yourself to move. It may just take a lot of experience with this cycle before you internalize it enough for it to motivate you.
Like one area I've made a big shift in is waking up early for work (teacher). I fucking do like getting up before 7am or so, but I wake up at 5am like clockwork during the school year, because I KNOW the tradeoff of a little more sleep for more stress due to having to rush through things is just not worth it. But it took me years to slowly build to this point.

*do NOT like getting up before 7am

It's called discipline. Set yourself some small goals every single day and eventually it'll come naturally
>>41194977
There's no secret. Discipline or will is like any other muscle. You can't just wake up one day and be 100% dedicated, you have to build up to it by making changes everyday and over time they will add up. Better start now anon.

Personally, I don't treat going to the gym as optional. It's one of those things like going to work. If you treat it as if it's something that you simply have to do, the idea of not going doesn't even cross your mind.

It's kinda corny and makes me sound like a total shill but you know how Nike has the slogan "Just Do It"?
Next time you're thinking about not going to the gym, just get up and do it, like anything else, like going to the bathroom, don't make it an option not to, it should be treated like a habit
Next time you're thinking about cleaning the house, just do it, then and there, get it started as you're thinking about it
Things get easier to do when you just treat them as habits versus some kind of huge obstacle you need to get over
Start small, don't think like "this year I'm gonna go to the gym everyday", it's simply too much.
Set small goals and achieve them and then go achieving more. Set a goal to first step in a gym for the first day. After that, set the goal of 3 days in a week. Then 5 days in a row, things like that. Build up to goals like not missing for a full month.
Also, think to yourself "I don't have the option to miss the gym" or whatever you're trying to do like >>41195926 said.
You just have willpower if you have willpower. Same for discipline, it's the kind of thing you just do it.
First, put more emphasis on the future rather than right now. You're choosing short-term benefits and comfort, and short-changing the future you. Yet look at yourself right now - you're obviously frustrated at the choices made in your past (not going for that run, eating that cake, whatever). So start making future-first decisions.
Second, whenever you have an ounce of motivation, make the first move (get to the gym, pool, out for a run) on something positive. You can't sustain the motivation for subsequent times, but from that point onwards what the other anon said is the trick:

>Next time you're thinking about not going to the gym, just get up and do it, like anything else, like going to the bathroom, don't make it an option not to, it should be treated like a habit
You can also put some thought into making things super easy for the next time, when you don't have motivation, so you don't have as many stumbling blocks to stop you going. For example, I have my gym kit made up and ready to go as part of the END of each session, so next time I just grab it and head out. If I had to assemble/wash that shit each time, I wouldn't go half as often.
Or, disregard all of the above and keep making short-term decisions that don't get you anywhere in the long term. Ultimately the choice is yours and the responsibility is your too, nobody else is gonna do this for you, and there's never going to be a perfect time. So stop waiting for that outside influence that's gonna magically improve things for you.
