I tried much of what is in the OP guide, and it didn't do shit for my skin.

However, I switched to wet-shaving with a proper lathered glycerin soap and a preshave oil, and that cleared up all my skin problems. I started with a double edge razor, and now I use a straight razor, and I feel like kenshiro when he shaves with a knife. Manly as hell.

Is pre shave oil worth it? Also what type of soap do you use? Just started using a straight razor last week.
Also, thay advice is only good if youre getting razor rash/ingrown hairs. If you have acne on your forehead it wont help with that.

Wizard here. I got my acne under control by frequently rinsing my face with cold water. Just cold water, several times a day. Use face wash/noxema once daily in the shower, preferably turn down the water heat for face washing.

The trick is drying your face. For God's sake, do not rub you face with a fucking towel. Just blot. Preferably let it air dry, but that's not reasonable if you're rinsing your face between class or something. Only have paper towel handy? Dry hands with paper and blot face dryer with now damp paper towel

I use Mama Bear Ye Olde Barbershop soap. Also, I don't use preshave oil all the time. I've gotten to the point where I can feel if I need it or not. Just once or twice a week.

Just buy a sinpl exfoliating wash and use it every day when you shower. Wash your pillow cover at least twice a week flip it every two or so days, and shower after you do any activity that causes your to sweat for prolonged periods of time.
