Hello /fit/ ive been gaining muscle and getting aesthetic. But i have shoulder pain while walking or standing upright for long periods of time doing dishes etc. This pain subsides when im sitting or laying down. If i go on a long walk i get intense pain it has lasted for 2 years now. Went to doctor he gave me some anti inflamatory lotion. Dident work. Any tips /fit/? pic related is where i feel the pain.
see a good physio.
do the recommended exercises.
then you should be good.
if that doesn't help, then you'll need injections of either:
- anti-inflammatory substances
- botox (to disable cramping muscles)
- local anesthesia
if that doesn't work, then you'll have to do surgery.
don't go down the prescription painkiller route, whatever you do.

Not that anon, but hey strain your shoulders, and are generally just an unnatural movement. Yeah i know, every excersize is "unnatural" , but have you seen anyone actually press or pull something behind the neck outside of the gym?
I have been to 2 gyms so far, and usually the trainers there tell newbies to do lat pulldowns behind the neck. I cant help it but cringe at it
