For all the crazy bullshit PETA and similar "health" advocates spew, it's crazy how many of them haven't even taken a single university level food science course. They're the same people that are scared of the words Dihydrogen Monoxide because it sounds scary. They're the same people that don't vaccinate their children because they don't understand modern medicine.

Almost every single bacteria/virus food scare in modern times comes from fucking hippies not using food safety protocols in the name of "health". Retarded stuff like drinking unpasteurized goat milk, or locally sourcing meat that doesn't go through proper bacteria eradication (cough cough Chipotle). There's definitely something to be said about the state of the cattle industry, because that shit is fucked ass up, but I eat mostly chicken anyway, and using growth hormone or any added hormones for that matter is 100% ILLEGAL in the United States, and has been for many year.
