Doing a Push/Pull with ABxABxx. Squats on first A, Deads on second B.
I want to utilize two of those rest days by doing some type of stretching/core/posture correction. I hunch over and it's making me appear like too much of a manlet.
What type of stretching/posture exercise does /fit/ like?
Also, what are the differences between stuff like yoga vs pilates?
focus is
>fix posture, especially tightness in my hamstrings and chest
>strengthen stabilizers/core
>stretch muscles for gains
>increase flexibility/range of motion, especially in back, shoulders, hips
pls respond
I have a random pic. Dont know how good this actually is.
You should try out different stretches and create a routine by yourself
Really popular is Joe deFarncos agile8/limber 11
https://www.t-nation.com/training/defranco-agile-8
I did that for a while, but foam rolling sucks
I train a upper/lower split and before every session I do
Squat stretch 30sec
toe touching while seated 30sec each
couch stretch 30 sec each https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaeAvGh6gkg
shoulder dislocation with rubber band 10x
anterior shoulder stretch 30sec each
Stretching really helped me getting my squat form done
becoming a supple leopard is a meme, dont buy it
I've had great success increasing the mobility of my shoulders and stretching out my chest with shoulder dislocations. If you don't know what they are, Google them before just trying to pop your arm out it's socket.
As for whole body, Alan Thrall did a stretch routine on his YouTube channel a few months ago, shouldn't be too hard to find
search shit up on youtube.
i would give you mine but i dont know the name of any of the stretches.
Has anyone here ever attempted yoga or pilates?
I just stretch every day before going to sleep
I use positions recommended by kelly starret, check his youtube channel
Just started doing Alan Thrall's routine, so can't vouch for if it works or not yet, but that man is usually right.
