Is olympic weightlifting difficult?

nah
>>41137872
does it matter?
Depends.
>t. bulgarian method
definitely not. I mean, it's hard to get strong, but just performing the exercises isn't that hard. Pretty much every other sport I can think of is way more technical than oly lifting.

>just workout heavy every day children
>8 years later, 9/10ths of the children either aren't winning comps or are injured out
>now we have the champions, shoot them full of roids and lets do 3 training sessions a day, everyday
They saw the truth to strength sports, it is a skill thing as much as a genetics thing. The more you do a movement the stronger it gets.

The lifts are highly technical and demand a lot in terms of endurance and mobility, which a lot of novice lifters lack. The training is also very hard.
But beyond all that there's a major genetic component to being good at it. You need to be extremely explosive, which isn't something you can train. You can be strong as shit but if you're slow you'll never be as good at oly lifts as you will at power lifts.

There's a genetic component to everything. Moving fast and producing power is easier when you're technically adept at something and you're strong.
There are also a bunch of people who are really good at weightlifting without being overly freak-mong-explosive.
